I love the history in this one. The wording is nice and the meter is perfect, as far as I can tell. Since the holidays are upon us, this is a perfect poem to share. There are so many homeless out there, today. It is a reminder for everyone to be thankful and it also encourages us all to be as giving as we can. Thank you for sharing.
Since I'm no pro, I'm not sure how much weight my opinion holds, but if someone wrote this poem to me personally, it would touch my heart, maybe even bring a tear to my eyes. In this day and time we need more caring poetry like this one.
