A simple problem
This is a hypothetical competition where you can win money:



Three opaque and sealed boxes A, B & C.

One has $10,000 in it, the other two are empty

You are invited to choose a box

You choose Box A

The quizmaster then opens Box C. It is empty (Boxes A & B remain unopened.)

You are then given the option of changing your choice from Box A to Box B



Question: Is it to your advantage to change to box B?

 This is a straightforward but hypothetical competition where you can win hypothetical money: 1. There are three sealed boxes, one of which has $10,000 inside. The other two are empty. 2. You are asked to choose a box. 3. The Quizmaster then opens one of the other boxes. It is empty. 4. You are then given the option of changing your choice to the other unopened box. Question: Is it to your advantage to change boxes? ('Yes' or 'No') See, I said it was simple! What is difficult is the rationale for your answer.
