The Desert

In the vast desert of my dream,
The sand is red, yellow and cream.

I am a princess wrapped in blue
and gold.
In my dream I am never cold.

The sand glows warm by fiery day,
By night, the tents rustle and sway.

My horse is inky black,
Purple silk flows from his back.

A crystal table set for us to dine,
Holds silver trays with sweet wine.

Time is yours and mine,
As setting sun melts horizon line.

Here my life will begin,
If I never awaken again.
