Jamie and Wesley go to the Caribbean to rescue Superman from Bizarro. |
A hard wind was blowing over the large, snow-covered field of ice and snow. The location was the uninhabitable plains located deep in the North Pole. The temperature was far below zero, and it was too cold for any human being to endure. There were two human figures, however, but they were flying across the sky rather than traveling over land or by plane. The larger human figure wore a blue uniform and had a red cape which was blowing in the wind, covering his back. The smaller figure was only wearing a pair of shorts and sneakers. Lucky for them, they were able to endure the extreme cold, because they weren’t normal human beings. They had super powers and super strength, and their invulnerability was all they needed in order to protect them from the extreme weather conditions. Superman led the way and calmly flew over a golden aircraft marker, which looked like a large, gold-colored key, which was leaning against a special stand which allowed it to remain in the vertical position. Jamie quietly flew behind the Man of Steel, and he was gasping at the site which was before him. The vastness of the terrain was overwhelming, for the young super-powered boy had never traveled to this area before, although it was similar to the place where he rocket crashed when he was a baby and had landed on earth for the very first time. “Why are we heading towards that golden marker?” the boy wondered out loud, as he was pointing at the golden object. “That’s no marker” Superman explained. “That’s the key to my domain!” Superman then swooped down and grabbed hold of the bottom handle on the key, gently lifting it straight up so that it came off the large, metal stand. Jamie just observed in wonder, realizing that this key could only be lifted and used by someone who had super powers. In other words, he now understood that he was the only other person on earth who was capable of coming and entering in the Fortress of Solitude. The blue muscle man then raised the key up and maintained it in a horizontal position, aiming straight for a giant, gold-plated door which had a huge keyhole in the center. The door was carved inside of a large mountain, which was covered with ice and snow. It looked like every other mountain in the North Pole, except of course for the giant steel door with the huge keyhole, which was only visible from the air. When he gently placed the front part of the key inside the keyhole, he then gave it a counter-clockwise twist until there was a loud “Clang” sound. He then pulled the key out of the keyhole and put it back on the stand. He then flew to the large, steel door and pulled on the handle, slowly opening the door, which exposed the ground floor of the isolated Fortress of Solitude. “After you, my young friend…” Superman said, as he politely invited the young super boy to fly in first. For Superman, it was now his turn to enjoy the sight of the young boy, who was left completely astonished by the display of artwork, statues, equipment, and literature which were neatly stored within the walls of the fortress. The young powerful boy simply gasped, as he flew through the tall and wide corridors of the fort, which were intentionally constructed in this manner so that somebody with super powers could easily fly threw them. Superman then caught up to the boy and flew a little ahead of him, so he could give his young super-guest a tour of his facility. He was actually enjoying the fact that his guest was left with a deep sense of awe, since he had never seen a place like this before. And Jamie was Superman’s first guest to the fortress in over five years. “Wow…” the young super boy whispered out of sheer amazement, “This place is awesome…” he said, as Superman led him to the large computer room where there stood a huge console with several monitors and computer screens. From there, Superman led the boy to the sleeping quarters, the kitchen area, the gym with the super-heavy weights and machines, and the lab. Jamie was most impressed by the large, round bottle which was standing on a big table in the corner of the lab. When he flew over there and got closer, his jaw dropped wide open when he realized that the bottle contained a miniature city and that there were actual people living inside of it. “What’s this, Superman?” the super-powered boy wondered, as he pointed his finger at the large, glass bottle. “That’s the Kryptonian city of Kandor. It was dramatically reduced before Krypton exploded, and somehow I ended up taking custody of the miniature city for the time being, until a method could be found to enlarge the city and the inhabitants back to their original size” he explained. Superman just stood there and chuckled, as he witnessed how his guest was completely astonished by the display inside of the bottle. He enjoyed watching how the boy marveled at the small vehicles and the people who lived in the city. “Let me show you the computer, Jamie” Superman said, as he flew back to the computer room and sat down on his chair. Jamie quietly followed behind him, and stood besides the Man of Steel. “Only someone with super powers can use it…” Superman said, as he turned towards the large, blank monitors. Superman then turned his head towards a large, red circle which was painted on a special glass. Superman then fired a ray of heat from his heat vision at the red circle, triggering a sudden surge of power to the computer system. All the monitors came to life; the Man of Steel then grabbed hold of the microphone, which was attached to the console. “Enter new user ID…” Superman said. “The name is: Jamie Alejandro Wilson.” Jamie just chuckled as he realized that his image was now showing on one of the monitors. There were several security cameras positioned around the lab, and they were recording his every movement. “Now, for a ray of your heat vision at the red circle for me…” Superman instructed, as he was busy typing Jamie’s information into his computer. Jamie immediately obeyed, and he allowed his heat vision to strike the red circle, which was placed on the console in front of Superman. “There, I have you registered” Superman said to him. “If you ever need to come here and you want to know where I am, then you can log on to the computer system using your heat vision, and it will know it’s you.” “Now, do you want to have a little work-out in the gym?” Superman asked his guest. Jamie just nodded as he maintained a wide grin on his face, showing his approval to Superman’s suggestion. The two then took off and flew down another corridor to a lower level of the Fortress of Solitude, where the lab and the scientific equipment was located. Jamie stood in awe of the giant machines that were there, and Superman escorted his young guest over to a large, thick weight bench. A long, metal bar was resting on a stand, where it had two large weights attached to either end of the bar. The weights were made to become heavier, if needed, through the use of a special machine which could add more resistance to them. There was a large magnet beneath the weight bench, and this could add thousands of pounds to the bar. This would give someone with super strength and powers a truly challenging workout, since it allowed the weights to feel much heavier, than any normal human being could possibly lift. Superman quickly flew into a small, private locker room and then emerged seconds later, wearing only a pair of shorts! The two muscle men then walked over to the weight bench, and Superman set the dials of the electromagnetic machine to supply enough resistance to the weights, that the bar would seem to weigh over 5,000 tons. He then set the machine to gradually increase the weight by 1000 pounds per minute, increasing the challenge of the work-out. The Man of Steel then got with his back on the steel-enforced weight bench and then grabbed hold of the bar with his hands. He then grinded his teeth, as he carefully lifted the bar off the stand and then held it up over his chest while his arms were fully extended. Jamie just stood besides him and watched, occasionally turning towards the monitor in order to read the current weight of the bar. The machine continued to hum quietly, displaying an average weight of 8,750 tons on the bar. Superman kept on lifting the bar before lowering it back down to his chest, but Jamie could tell that it was becoming harder to lift, with every repetition he performed. When the weight had increased to 9,250 tons, Superman had slowed down considerable, straining harder in order to get the weight up and over his chest. The total weight increased gradually with each rep, and when it finally reached 9,750 tons, Superman seemed to be unable to lift the bar. “AAARGH” Superman screamed, as he could no longer come up with the strength to raise the bar. The machine immediately responded to Superman’s groans, as it shut down the electromagnetic unit which allowed the bar to weigh much lighter again, so that he could place the bar back on its stand. “Hey Superman…” Jamie wondered out loud. “Can I try it? Can I... Please?” “Well, I don’t want you to get hurt…” the Man of Steel answered cautiously. “I’ll let the machine start at 1,000 tons, and I’ll gradually let in increase the weight by 1,000 pounds per minute, okay?” Jamie then climbed on the weight bench, as Superman set the controls on the machine, so that it would apply sufficient magnetic pull to the weights that they would seem to weigh far more than they really were. Jamie started of slow, carefully raising the bar over his chest before lowering it until it was almost resting on his mighty pectorals. His chest, his shoulders and his arms strained as he continued to raise the bar, as the machine gradually increased the weight. Superman just stood and watched, as he was ready to jump in just in case the boy would need his help with getting the bar off of him, just in case he couldn’t lift it anymore. But the Man of Steel was in for a surprise, for the boy quietly continued to lift the bar, rep after rep, even when the weight started to approach his own maximum weight which he had lifted just a few minutes before. The weight continued to increase, as the machine displayed the total weight on the digital screen. Superman turned to glance at it often; since he was curious to know how much the young boy could lift. He was impressed by the boy’s overall strength and he knew that the youngster was capable of lifting an incredible weight, but he also felt the need to see what the boy’s limits were. When the digital display on the large machine indicated a weight of 9,250 tons, Superman started to become a little anxious. He realized that the boy was getting close to lifting his own maximum weight, and he nervously began to wonder how far Jamie was capable of pushing the limits. As soon as the display passed 9,750 tons, Superman’s jaw dropped wide open in disbelief. He had felt Jamie’s strength before, but now he actually had scientific evidence which proved that the youngster was indeed much stronger than him. The only unanswered question that he now had was basically: how much stronger was the little boy? When the display showed a weight of 14,750 tons, Jamie began to sweat a little bit. But he still had enough strength to continue, and he quietly pressed on, raising and then lowering the bar. The electromagnetic engine continued to pull on the large, metal weights which were attached to the steel bar. But the boy still didn’t show any signs of slowing down. It wasn’t until the display reached 17,750 tons, that Jamie started to groan a little every time he tried to lift the bar. His face slowly began to turn red, as the first signs of strain started to form on his face. He began to feel tired, and Superman realized that he would need to turn the machine off pretty soon. But the Man of Steel was still astonished by the incredible display of strength from the youngster, and he calculated in his mind that the boy was almost twice as strong as he was. The display finally reached 19,000 tons when Superman saw that the boy was reaching his limit. As he continued to struggle with lifting the bar, he was making the muscles on his chest bulge with impossible strength. His arms, his biceps, and his triceps were exploding with power, while the boy continued to press on, even though the weight on the bar was slowly becoming unbearable. Jamie finally let out a loud groan when he came to the point that he could no longer lift the bar. This was when Superman decided to shut down the machine. He took a quick glance at the display, and he was left feeling completely amazed by the maximum reading that was displayed. It was 19,705 tons. That was almost twice as much as his own maximum weight. “Are you alright?” Superman asked Jamie, as he quickly grabbed hold of the bar and gently placed it back on the stand. “Yeah…” Jamie said, as he sat up straight on the bench. He looked a little tired, with drops of sweat pouring down his red face. “So, tell me, how much did I end up lifting?” “You maxed out at 19,705 tons, champ…” Superman told him. Even though he realized that the boy had passed him by a long shot, he still couldn’t help but feel proud of him. “And, how much did you end up lifting?” the boy wondered. “I was only able to lift 9,750 tons… I guess it means you’re still much stronger than me…” Superman said quietly. For the moment, Jamie didn’t know what to say to the older man. There he was, a little kid, and he was twice as strong as the Man of steel, who was supposed to be the strongest man on earth. But he didn’t want Superman to feel bad, so he decided to deny the fact that he could be that much stronger than him. “Oh, Superman… That doesn’t mean anything…” Jamie chuckled. “I can’t possibly be stronger than you! You’re Superman, and I’m just a little kid! You were probably just feeling a little tired or something…” Superman didn’t expect that answer from the boy, but he found it amusing how he flat out denied the fact that he was stronger than him. So he just laughed as he stared at the little boy’s big, blue eyes. He had such an innocent face, it was almost angelic. And yet, Superman had to come to grips with the fact that the youngster was probably the strongest human being on earth. Superman no longer was number one, he had to settle for number two, and he had to grasp the fact that he has been out-muscled by a little boy. Not only was Jamie much stronger than Superman, but he seemed more muscular than him as well. “Hey Jamie, stand in front of that camera over there so that the main computer can automatically take your measurements.” Superman said to the boy. His own measurements were already updated in the computer, but he wanted to allow the machine to take a snapshot of Jamie’s muscular development as well, so that he could compare his muscle size to that of the little muscle boy. Superman had a feeling that Jamie seemed to be several inches bigger than him overall. He just wanted to have exact numbers so that he could compare his size to Jamie’s. As soon as the boy had his picture taken, and the computer has had the opportunity to scan and measure the image, it finally displayed the results on the monitor. “Current measurements for Superman: height 6’4”, biceps 28 inches, chest 52 inches, calves 22 inches, thighs 34 inches” it read on the black monitor. Superman then pressed a button and waited a few seconds for the display to show the results for his young guest. “Current measurements for Jamie A. Wilson: height 4’10”, biceps 30 inches, chest 58 inches, calves 25 inches, thighs 38 inches” it read on the monitor. “Holy cow!” Superman said to himself. “Even though you’re much younger and much shorter than me, you’re still bigger than me in every area!” Superman realized that his measurements were correct when he stared at the young boy, who had just finished lifting his maximum weight. Jamie was standing in front of the mirror, flexing his biceps and stretching his arms out to the sides before bringing them together before his chest, allowing his pectorals to get all pumped up, so he could show off their bulging mass. The Man of Steel just stood in awe of the powerful youngster, as he realized how the boy had beaten him with his strength and with the size of his muscles as well. And to top it off, the boy had super powers that the caped hero could only dream of! He also realized that he needed to act quickly and take steps to ensure that the boy would never fall into the wrong hands. Superman realized that the youngster would be capable of beating him in every way, and he had to guarantee that they would never end up fighting one another. Just as Superman was pondering these things, the youngster glanced at the clock on the wall, before he quietly walked back to where the Man of Steel was standing. “Well, Superman, I guess I’ll need to get home soon…” Jamie said, in a sad tone of voice. “I need to go to school tomorrow, and Momma doesn’t want me to be out too late at night…” “That’s alright, Jamie…” the Man of Steel responded. “I might stop by your mom’s house tomorrow, to see if we can maybe hang out again some time soon…” “Thank you so much for having me over!” the boy said, now showing a smile on his face. “I had such a good time hanging out with you. I hope we can do this more often…” Superman and Jamie then flew over to the large, steel door. When Superman pushed the door open, he realized how the boy was suddenly overcome by a deep sense of sadness. “I wish… I wish you could be my dad…” the boy said in a sad tone of voice. Then the two flying beings embraced each other, before Jamie turned around and flew away. Superman could just stand at the entrance and wave back. When Jamie was now too far away to be seen, Superman closed the door behind him and he flew back inside. Jamie didn’t have the chance to see the tears running from Superman’s eyes. He then flew back to the main computer and typed in some text. He then looked up some names and numbers, and he started making some phone calls. Jamie got up very early the following morning; he was actually awake before the alarm went off. He wasn’t much in the mood to go to class, but he realized that it was a must. He was always very shy and lonely at school, and he really didn’t have any friends he could relate to. Even though he tried his hardest to hide his incredible strength and his super powers from the other kids in school, he still felt like he didn’t belong. He knew that he was different from the rest, even though he wasn’t allowed to show it. He got tired of hiding his powers from the rest of the world, and he was longing for the day when he would meet someone who had unusual gifts or talents as well, so that he could relate to him in one way or the other. It seemed like that day had finally arrived. At the very beginning of the first period of class, the teacher got up and introduced a new boy to the class. The boy’s name was Wesley. Wesley was tall and skinny. He had a friendly face and short, black hair. Wesley was an African American boy who had moved with his parents from another town, and this was his first day in school. Jamie didn’t approach Wesley at first, for he was feeling rather shy himself. He wanted to wait for the right moment to get to know him better. After class was over, Jamie walked over to Wesley, who was standing outside by the bus stop. They had just started talking, when Wesley’s cellular phone rang. Wesley grabbed the phone out of his pocket and answered it. “Hang on, Jamie. I need to talk to my mom…” Wesley said to Jamie, as he turned around and walked away. Jamie tried his hardest not to even try to listen in on the conversation, but it was hard for him to ignore what Wesley was saying, due to his super hearing. “Yes, mom… I’m fine…” Wesley said quietly on the phone. None of the other students who were standing at the bus stop were able to hear his conversation. But Wesley didn’t know that Jamie possessed super hearing, and that he was capable of listening in on what they were talking about. “It was my first day of classes, mom… No, I haven’t made any new friends yet… No, I didn’t tell anybody I was psychic…” Wesley said to his mother. “Don’t worry, mom. I love you. Bye.” When Jamie overheard this part of the conversation, he gasped as he looked at the ebony boy. Finally, he had met someone who had unusual gifts and talents, just like him! Now, all he had to do was to honestly approach Wesley and to let him in on his secret as well… Wesley finally hung up the phone and walked back towards Jamie. “I need to walk back home now” he said to Jamie. “My mom is really worried about me and she wants me to come home so that I can tell her how my first day of school went…” “That’s alright! Can I come along with you?” Jamie asked him with a smile. “Well, I guess so… My mom is kind of private… She doesn’t like it when other kids come over to the house…” the boy responded. “Well, I need to tell you something…” Jamie said to him. When the two boys were walking down the street, Jamie looked around to make sure that there were no other people who were watching them at the moment. “I owe you an apology…” Jamie said to the boy. “Why? You didn’t do anything…” “Yes I did. I must admit to you that I overheard your conversation between you and your mom…” Jamie said to him in a quiet tone of voice. “What? I was standing several yards away from you! How were you able to hear what I was saying?” Wesley said angrily. “Well, I… I couldn’t help it… I need to tell you a secret…” Jamie said in a sad tone of voice. “What secret?” Wesley wondered out loud. “How should I say this…?” Jamie said as he rolled his eyes and turned away for a moment. “I have certain super powers and super hearing is one of them…” “What?” Wesley said in disbelief. “I have super hearing, super strength, super breath, heat vision, x-ray vision, super speed, and I can fly…” Jamie whispered to him. “And I happened to know that you’re psychic…” “You’re kidding!” Jamie then turned around and looked to make sure that nobody was watching. Then he set his backpack down on the sidewalk, as he extended his arms above his head, as he leapt up in the sky and started to fly around in a wide circle. He flew right over Wesley’s head, before he landed right in front of the boy, coming down with his tennis shoes on the sidewalk. “There you go… I can fly… See?” Jamie said to him. “Do you believe me, now?” “Holy cow!” Wesley said, as his mouth had dropped open wide as he was astonished by seeing this boy fly around in the air, like it was the most normal thing in the world. “Well, since we both have unusual powers that nobody else has, can we be friends?” Jamie wondered. “Sure!” Wesley smiled. “I guess we’re both freaks, and it may be best for us to stick together…” The two boys then shook hands, indicating the start of a brand new friendship. “So, where do you live?” Jamie asked him. Wesley then told Jamie his address. Then Jamie just grabbed hold of Wesley and lifted him in the air. Jamie flew off to Wesley’s house and gave him a ride home. For him, it was a major sense of relief, that he had finally met someone who he could share all his secrets with! Jamie flew home feeling extremely happy. He finally had met someone his own age, who had some sort of super power of his own. Jamie would meet up with Wesley at school and they would play card games together and they would share their card collections with each other. They quickly became very close friends, and they promised each other never to tell anyone else about their secret powers and abilities. Neither Jamie nor Wesley were aware of the menace that Superman was about to face. One of his greatest enemies was forging a plan to get rid of the Man of steel for once and for all, and the villain was on the verge of executing his evil plan to capture the caped hero. It was the middle of the night, when a blue and red figure was flying through the Metropolis sky. It looked like the Man of Steel, but it wasn’t him. The character had a reverse letter “S” on his blue shirt and his face was white and had edges like that of a rock. The figure leaped from rooftop to rooftop, jumping over the skyscrapers, until it found four of them that were standing around the same area and were almost the same height. The man then placed several explosives on the rooftops of four carefully selected buildings, setting a trap for the man of Steel. “Today is my day…” Bizarro chuckled to himself. “Superman is big fish, and me make big net to catch big blue fish… heh heh…” Suddenly a huge explosion went off, and the roof of one of the buildings got blown off, spewing debris all over the street below. Luckily, it was still very early in the morning, and there weren’t that many people out on the street. But the explosion was loud enough to be heard throughout the city, and the police department promptly dispatched the fire truck, ambulance, and several police cars to the scene. Within minutes, a second explosion occurred, on the rooftop of a skyscraper that was less than a mile away from the first one. Police officers immediately circled the second building, and the streets below were sealed off for all traffic and pedestrians. Shortly there after, a third explosion ripped through the rooftop of a skyscraper which was another mile from the first two, and people started wondering if this was some kind of terrorist attack or some deliberate, planned attack on these buildings. Superman was working on his computer in the Fortress of Solitude when an alert suddenly appeared on his screen. Three explosions had gone off on the rooftops of three skyscrapers, which were all located in downtown Metropolis. This seemed very strange to Superman, and he decided to fly over there and investigate. He got up, flew out the door, which he immediately locked with his giant key. As soon as he placed the key back on the stand, he flew off, heading south, to the great city of Metropolis. Bizarro was standing on the rooftop of another one of the skyscrapers, holding a large controller in his hand with a long antenna coming out of it. “Me got four robots hidden in cars below” the big, tall villain chuckled. “Robots will blast Superman! Me get rid of Superman today! Ha ha ha ha!” As soon as Superman arrived at the three burning buildings, a laser beam came from the ground, which narrowly missed the Man of Steel. When he looked down at the ground below, he realized that he was being fired upon by a large, metallic object which was coming from the roof of a parked car! Superman swooped down towards the car and then grabbed the car from the front, lifting it up in the air, before smashing it right into the center of one of the street’s intersections. As soon as the car landed on the ground, a large robotic figure smashed through the roof of the car, tearing a hole in the roof, before climbing out and standing in front of the severely damaged vehicle. The large, silver colored robot was about fifteen feet tall, and had big, red eyes which started firing some laser beam at Superman. Superman got hit by one of the lasers and he felt an incredible surge of pain on the part of his body where he was hit. He was being fired upon with Kryptonite rays! Superman then flew around the corner from where the robot was standing, and he then swooped towards the rooftop of the first burning building, where a large TV broadcast tower was standing. The tower had a long, sharp point that was made of steel, and Superman figured that he could use the steel tower to pierce a hole through the robot’s metallic skin. The Man of Steel then flew to the rooftop and grabbed hold of one of the legs of the tower, pulling it loose from the steel nuts and bolts which were holding the tower in place. When the tower was yanked loose from the concrete base on the rooftop, Superman swooped down towards the robot, before hurling the 50 foot, 7.5 ton steel tower into the chest of the robot, piercing the metal with a loud sound of metal that was being pressed against metal. There was a metal shriek, followed by incredible sparks which were flying from the robot’s inner circuits, which eventually lead to a loud explosion coming from within the pierced robot. But the battle wasn’t over! Another robot appeared from hiding inside of an old, abandoned car. The robot was following Superman and started firing red Kryptonite rays at the Man of Steel as well. Superman then landed in the middle of the intersection, when the robot started to charge after him. The Man of Steel wanted to lure the menacing robot away from the crowd and the large buildings, so he tried to get the robot to follow him as he flew inside of a small park, which was located next to a skyscraper which was standing alone and off to the side. The robot had fired at him again, and this time the Kryptonite ray had burned him in his legs! Superman felt the pain as he was flying, and it caused him to crash on the grass field, in the center of the small park. When Superman realized that the robot was coming right after him, he quickly got back up on his feet again, even though his right leg was in serious pain. He stumbled over to the outside wall of the skyscraper, waiting for the robot to come closer. As soon as the robot was only a few yards away from him, Superman then leaped up in the air before crashing through the concrete floor, which was right besides the 145-ton, 75 story skyscraper which was constructed out of glass, steel and concrete. Superman used his powers and strength to drill a hole under the foundation of the skyscraper, where he drilled until he got to the location where he estimated that the center of the building’s foundation was located. He then grabbed hold of the giant, steel beam which was implanted in the foundation, and he rapidly lifted the entire building out of the ground. The entire area around the building shook like there was a huge earthquake, and hundreds of windows cracked, as the giant building was being lifted up, floating in mid air while it was being supported by the mighty, bare hands of the Man of Steel. Superman then tossed the building in the air, allowing the center of the foundation to land exactly where the robot was standing. The giant skyscraper then landed right on top of the robot, smashing it into the ground as all the windows of the skyscraper shook as it plowed through the earth! The Man of Steel smiled, as he noted that he had finished off both robots that had attacked him. But he cheered too soon. As soon as he turned around, he was being fired upon by two more robots; each was standing at the opposite side of where Superman was standing. Both robots were blasting him with Kryptonite rays at the same time, and he realized that there was no way that he could tackle both of them at the same time! He desperately dashed towards one of them, as he started to pound it with his fist. But the other robot started to get closer, and the Kryptonite ray was growing more intense. Superman then decided to flee, and he tried his hardest to fly away. Unfortunately, when he almost reached a rooftop of another one of the buildings, he was hit with a Kryptonite ray from a third person! When he looked up, he noticed to his great horror that he was now also being fired upon by none other than Bizarro! “AAAARGH…” Superman groaned, as the Kryptonite ray struck him in the chest. Superman immediately tried to fly away, when he was struck from behind by one of the robots. While one robot was holding on to the weakened and outnumbered hero, the second robot came and placed a green rock before Superman, pressing the rock against his face! It was raw Kryptonite, and it was too much for Superman. He was being fired upon by two Kryptonite rays, and the second robot was now crushing his face with raw Kryptonite as well. It didn’t take long or the Man of Steel had passed out, before a large crowd that was watching in horror as Bizarro had captured the Man of Steel. Superman’s body was hurled into a net of steel, along with the green Kryptonite rock. Then Bizarro grabbed the end of the net, and flew off while dragging Superman’s body behind him. Several people on the ground had video taped the entire battle, and it didn’t take long or images of the fight were broadcast all over the TV and the newspapers were all cluttered with photos of the horrific scene. People were deeply concerned and everyone was wondering where Superman was, and what had happened to him? Who was strong enough to find and rescue the Man of Steel? In the meantime, two boys were sitting on the floor at the little townhouse near Miami Beach, where they were playing a very popular children’s card game. “Oh darn it, you beat me again, Wesley!” Jamie chuckled, as he looked at his deck of cards. “Why can’t I beat you at this game?” “I have a really good deck of cards! I have all these cards with lots of attack points and all these defense points. And as long as I keep on sending all your cards to the graveyard, I will always win!” Wesley replied. “I don’t believe you, Wesley…” Jamie laughed. “There’s got to be another reason…” “Well, I’ll tell you…” Wesley said with a smile on his face. “You know that I’m psychic, right?” “Yeah… So?” “I can see which cards you’re holding in your hands! So, you’ll never be able to beat me!” Wesley chuckled. The revelation made Jamie’s mouth open wide, as he slowly came to the realization that Wesley could not be beaten! “Aww, man, that’s cheating!” Jamie smiled, since he thought it was rather amusing that he was finally getting beaten at something that did not involve physical strength. “No wonder I can’t beat you…” “Well, I’m kind of tired of playing cards now…” Wesley said, as he gathered all the cards that lay on the floor in his bedroom. “How about we just go watch some TV instead?” Wesley then ran down the stairs, with Jamie quickly following behind him. He looked around but he couldn’t find the remote to the TV set. After he spent a few moments walking around the living room, Wesley stopped in the middle of the room and closed his eyes as if he was suddenly in deep thought. “I found it,” the boy cheered. “I can see it! It’s under the white pillow that’s on the couch!” Jamie walked over to the couch and gently lifted the first pillow. When he didn’t see anything, he lifted the second one, where he found the remote control to the TV. “Wow! Is it easy for you to find things, using your psychic powers?” Jamie wondered out loud. It was Jamie’s turn to be amazed by someone else, and he loved the way Wesley could locate things and read his mind using his psychic powers. “As long as I know what something or someone looks like, I can probably find it if I’m close enough to it…” Wesley grinned, as Jamie turned the TV on and flipped the channels. The boys sat down next to each other on the couch and Jamie started to flip through the channels, when he suddenly came across a channel which was showing a photo of Bizarro. “Holy smoke!” Jamie shouted at his friend. “He looks like Superman…” “That’s Bizarro…” Wesley answered. “He may look like Superman, but he’s one really weird dude!” “Yeah…” Jamie laughed. “He looks ugly, too!” The images on the screen showed Superman battling the two robots before he was hit on all sides and then caught in a steel net like a wild animal. “Hey, is this live? Did this really happen? When was this?” Jamie wondered out loud. He then increased the volume, and the boys were just left astonished and shocked, when they saw the replay of Superman getting trapped and carried away by Bizarro! “Bizarro caught him! He caught Superman!” Wesley shouted out in disbelief. “What are we going to do now? We just lost our favorite super hero!” “We can rescue him, Wesley!” Jamie said to his partner. “If we work together, we can track him down and bring him back. But where do we start to look?” Jamie thought about it for a moment, and wondered if there was any way that he could look up somewhere at the Fortress of Solitude and figure out where Superman was. “I got it!” Jamie said, as he snapped his fingers. “Superman’s computer at the Fortress of Solitude will tell me where he is! Let’s go!” Jamie was so happy, that he grabbed hold of Wesley and then lifted him off the couch. Jamie then headed out the window, flying through the air with his right arm extended in front of him, while holding on to Wesley with his left arm. “Jamie!” Wesley shouted out loud, since Jamie was flying at great speed and the sound of the wind blowing in his ears was great. “Where are you taking me?” “We’re going to the Fortress of Solitude!” Jamie responded. “But… Where’s that?” Wesley wondered out loud. “That’s at the North Pole!” the mighty super boy answered with a smile. “You can’t take me over there like this!” Wesley screamed at him. “Why not?” “It’s too cold for me over there!” Wesley shouted back at his partner. “I’ll freeze to death if you bring me over there!” “Oh…” Suddenly Jamie stopped in mid air, and continued to float in the air for a moment as he pondered what to do next. “You’re right… I can’t take you there… So what do we do now?” “Look, just set me down at the beach” Wesley instructed. “I’ll stay right there and wait for you. That way, you can fly to the Fortress of Solitude at full speed, find out where Superman is, then come back and pick me up at the beach…” Jamie did exactly what Wesley has suggested. He carried Wesley back to Miami Beach, where he set him down at a pier that overlooked the ocean. Then Jamie took off, flying north at full speed, allowing him to reach the Fortress of Solitude in only a few minutes. “Come on…” Jamie shouted to himself. ‘Faster… Even faster…” he said, as he pushed himself to fly even faster than he had ever flown before. He knew that Superman was in danger and he understood that he was the only person who could rescue him as well. The responsibility was enormous, and Jamie realized that he could not fail to find and rescue the Man of Steel, or else the caped hero would be doomed. Not only that, but Jamie shuddered at the idea of suddenly having to take Superman’s place, just in case the real Superman were to die… “Yes!” he cheered, as he was flying at speeds of 12,000 miles per hour. In less than an hour, he landed at the North Pole, and found himself standing right in front of the airplane marker which was neatly resting in the metallic stand. Jamie then leaped up in the arctic air and grabbed hold of the giant key. He lifted the key and held it up in a horizontal position, so that he could gently stick the end of the key through the giant keyhole. He gave it a gentle twist in the counterclockwise direction, until he heard a loud clicking sound, indicating that the giant door was now unlocked. Jamie flew towards the door and carefully pushed it open. As soon as there was just enough room to slip inside, Jamie flew right in, leaving the giant door ajar. As soon as he got in, the muscle boy flew straight towards the giant computer console. When he got to the console, he tried to remember what buttons to push in order to get it to work. Then he remembered that he had to log in, so he stared at the red circle on the top of the console and fired two rays of heat vision at the center of the circle. Much to Jamie’s joy, the console suddenly came to life; with a sudden buzzing sound that eventually lead to some text to appear on the monitor. That’s when Jamie realized that he had to grab the microphone, since the computer reacted to his voice. “GREETINGS, SUPERMAN” was the text that was indicated on the monitor. For a moment, Jamie just stood and read those words in shock. Somehow, the computer had identified the little boy as the Man of Steel! “I’m… I’m not Superman…” he stuttered, as he was unsure of what to say. “I’m Jamie! Jamie Wilson…” “GREETINGS, SUPERBOY” the text on the screen said in reply. For a moment, Jamie was astonished once again, as he saw how the computer had already identified him as Superboy. What did that mean? But then he realized that he didn’t have time to wonder about it, and he needed to find out where Superman was at that moment. “Please tell me the exact location of Superman, right now!” the boy ordered through the microphone. “BOCA SAMI, FORT STUYVESANT, DUTCH WEST INDIES” it replied in big, red letters on the black screen. Then a map appeared on the screen, indicating a small, red dot in the Southern Caribbean. It even included the coordinates of where the island was, and Jamie neatly wrote them down on a piece of paper, which was located on Superman’s desk. Then Jamie flew towards the large, metal door. As soon as he was outside, he shut the door and turned the key clockwise, before he pulled the key out of the keyhole and set it neatly back into its stand. He then headed south and started flying at full speed back to meet Wesley at the pier in Miami Beach. “I’m coming, Superman…” he whispered to himself, as he was flying over the northern Atlantic Ocean. “I’m coming to rescue you…” Wesley was still at the pier, wandering around, wondering when Jamie was going to return. He knew it could be any minute, since he was well aware of the fact that his best friend was capable of flying at great speed! His feelings were confirmed when suddenly he was swooped off his feet by some invisible force! He looked down and he suddenly saw the pier dropping further away from his feet, as if he was rising up in the air! “Whoa!” he shouted, when he turned around and noticed that Jamie had swooped down and had grabbed him from behind. “Where are we going?” “We’re going to Boca Sámi, which is in the Southern Caribbean!” Jamie answered. “Let’s go by my house first, so we can look it up on the internet so that we know exactly where the place is and what it looks like…” Wesley suggested to the super boy. “Roger, Captain!” Jamie chuckled, as he made a sharp turn, heading back to Wesley’s house. Once the two boys landed at Wesley’s house, Wesley ran into his bedroom and turned on his laptop computer. He then looked up ‘Boca Sámi’ on a website, and he showed Jamie some of the pictures of what the island looked like. He also found a map of the island, which he studied. When he was done, he indicated to Jamie that he could find the place. Jamie then grabbed hold of Wesley under his armpits and he lifted his partner in the air, as the two boys flew out the window and headed south. “It’s not that far, so we should be there in a few minutes!” Jamie shouted, as he was flying over the big, blue ocean with the wind blowing in their ears. “Bizarro took Superman there?” Wesley asked the super boy. “Yeah, he’s keeping him in some fort on the island. That’s why I need your help, so you can help me track him down!” The two boys continued to fly over the Dominican Republic, as they tried to hide from view by going through the clouds. Jamie was holding on to Wesley, as he was trying not to fly too fast, so that Wesley wouldn’t get too cold. The two boys just smiled as they stared down at the hills of Santo Domingo, before flying over a large body of water, which was the Southern Caribbean. Luckily, Wesley had a small compass on his watch, so they could check to see that they were heading in the right direction. Jamie continued to fly high above the ocean, while Wesley helped him to navigate to the right place. When they finally came over an island, Wesley realized that they were on the island that was just east of the place where they had to be. “No, Jamie! This isn’t the place…” Wesley said. “This place has the salt mines and the flamingos! We need to head west! Boca Sámi is over there!” Jamie made a wide turn heading west, while Wesley continued to study the compass on his watch. The two boys worked together and cheered, when they finally reached the island where the fort was located where Superman was being held prisoner. When the boys finally arrived, Jamie landed on dirt road where there was an old, wooden sign with an arrow, indicating this was the location of Fort Stuyvesant. The boys quietly walked towards the back entrance to the fort, when they realized that they were standing on a hillside, overlooking a small beach which was called Boca Sámi. “You go this way” Jamie said, as he pointed at the west side of the large, ancient fort. “I’ll go that way. If you see something, scream! I’ll hear you with my super hearing!” Wesley entered through the door which led to a large workshop, containing several long tables which were completely covered with scrap metal, wires, meters and other mechanical parts. As he quietly walked through the room, he noticed that someone has been building several robots! The place looked like it had been converted into some sort of factory, and Wesley almost screamed when he came into another room, where several dozen 15-foot tall robots were lined up neatly, standing next to each other! “These were exactly like the ones I saw on the news program on TV earlier today…” Wesley whispered to himself, as he slowly entered a large, empty chamber with a very high roof and red, brick walls. There were several computer terminals standing on a table in the corner, and on the other wall he saw several chains with handcuffs attached to the ends of them. These chains were fastened to the wall! When Wesley came closer, he realized that there was someone chained to the wall, and there was a metal column placed before the man, with a glowing, green rock placed on the top of it. As Wesley approached the wall, he noticed to his horror that the blue figure, who was chained to the wall, was none other than the Man of Steel! “Superman?” Wesley said in shock… “YOU!” suddenly another blue figure shouted, as he walked into the room through a side door. “How you got in here?” Wesley turned around and started to run for the door, but the blue figure was too fast for him and flew after him as if he was Superman. “AAAHHH!” Wesley shouted, as the man grabbed hold of Wesley’s hands. That’s when he noticed that he was captured by Bizarro. “LET GO OF ME!” Wesley shouted, as he struggled to break free. But Bizarro was too strong for him, and he lifted the boy and carried him to the wall, just a few feet from where Superman was hanging in an unconscious state. Bizarro then placed a chain around Wesley’s torso, keeping him pressed against the brick wall. “SUPERMAN! HELP ME! WAKE UP!” Wesley began to shout, as Bizarro started to walk away from him. “JAMIE!! I’M IN HERE!” “SHUT UP, KID! OR I SLAM YOU FACE IN DA WALL!!” Bizarro sneered back at the boy, who started screaming out of desperation. “WESLEY!! WHERE ARE… OOOH!” Jamie suddenly shouted, as he appeared in the doorway of the large chamber. “MORE KIDS!” Bizarro shouted, obviously not knowing who Jamie was. “ME NEED TO LOCK BACK DOOR TO FORT!” “JAMIE! IT’S ME, WESLEY! I’M CHAINED TO THE WALL! SUPERMAN IS IN HERE TOO!” Wesley continued to shout. “SHUT UP!!” Bizarro shouted at the chained boy, as he fired his heat vision rays at Wesley, just striking the wall just inches from his face! “NO! DON’T HURT HIM!” Jamie screamed. “YOU MONSTER!” Just as Jamie started to approach Bizarro, several robots suddenly came to life! They started firing kryptonite rays at the super boy, and he realized right away that these were the same robots which had trapped Superman! Within seconds, Jamie found himself encircled by almost fifty tall, threatening robots! “GET HIM!!” Bizarro hollered at the robots. “KILL THE LITTLE TWERP!” A major battle had erupted in the large chamber, with Jamie fighting the large robots while Bizarro was standing in the corner of the chamber, yelling orders at his robotic army. Three robots stormed at Jamie all at the same time! But the young super boy was faster than them, and he grabbed the legs of the first robot, and he spun around before hurling it straight at the other two, reducing them into a pile of scrap metal! For other menacing machines stormed after him, and Jamie fired his heat vision at the first robot’s head, setting it on fire! He then flew towards the other three, and plowed into their metallic legs with such force, that pieces of metal and sparks were flying everywhere! Then two other robots came running at him, and Jamie took a deep breath, before exhaling what seemed like a hurricane-force wind, which hurled both robots with their backs against the brick wall, shattering them to pieces. While Jamie had his hands full with Bizarro’s robots, nobody was paying attention to Wesley. Wesley tried to pull himself free from the chains, but they wouldn’t budge. When he looked over and noticed Superman still hanging there, he got an idea. He realized that the green rock, which was standing on the column, which had been placed directly in front of the Man of Steel, was made of Kryptonite and it was preventing Superman from waking up and using his powers. Since Jamie had his hands full, Wesley turned his attention to the Man of Steel and he decided to use his psychic powers to free him instead. Wesley understood that if he could get rid of the Kryptonite, that Superman would wake up, even though he would still be weak and he might need time to regain his strength. So, Wesley stared at the green rock on the column, focusing every ounce of his psychic powers that he could muster. Slowly but surely the green Kryptonite rock started to move over the flat, circular top of the column, until it came close to the edge. Wesley was exhausted, since this feat required an incredible amount of power from him. But he grinded his teeth and stared at the column, letting out a big sigh of relief when the rock was finally tipped over the edge and landed crashing on the floor! The fall caused the rock to roll away from where Superman was hanging, and Wesley immediately took note of the fact that Superman was slowly regaining his consciousness, since the influence of the Kryptonite rock had been greatly reduced! Wesley could only smile when he saw that Superman was slowly opening his eyes for the first time. Fight scene Jamie vs. the robots part 2 Meanwhile, Jamie was having fun with the robots. He flew up to one of them and landed with his legs on his shoulders. As the robot frantically tried to slap the boy off of him, Jamie reached down and grabbed hold of the robot’s head with both hands, before pulling the head straight off the rest of the robot’s body! The mechanical menace immediately short circuited, and Jamie grabbed hold of the head with his right hand. He then landed on his feet with his legs spread apart, as he was waiting for the other remaining robots to attack him. Jamie then lowered his right arm and extended it behind his back, as if he was about to roll a bowling ball! He hurled the robot’s head at ten other robots, knocking all ten of them to the ground! “Yay! That was a strike! Whoohoo!” he cheered out loud, raising his arms in victory. Just as Jamie had almost finished destroying all the robots, Superman woke up and turned towards Wesley, to see what was going on. “Superman! Help us! You were kidnapped by Bizarro!” Wesley shouted at him. “Free yourself!” Immediately Superman broke free of the chains that were holding him, and he leaped over to where Wesley was hanging and broke the chains that were keeping the boy pressed against the brick wall. Meanwhile, Bizarro was becoming desperate when he realized that the robots were no match for the muscle boy. To make matters even worse, he saw how the Kryptonite rays had no effect on the boy, either! When he noted how easily Jamie was able to take out Bizarro’s robots one-by-one, he decided to take matters into his own hands, and to attack the boy using his own weapons and super powers. Bizarro decided to take advantage of the fact that the robots had worn him out. Jamie’s head was read and his body was covered with sweat. He realized that the little, powerful boy was growing tired, and he knew that this was the best time to strike back. “TAKE THIS, YOU LITTLE CREEP!” he shouted, as he flew up to Jamie and punched him in the face, sending the little boy flying against the wall. Jamie was caught off guard, and Bizarro’s blow had surprised him. Bizarro quickly flew after the boy, with the intent to give him a severe beating, out of revenge for destroying his army of robots. Bizarro flew up to the boy and delivered another blow to the stomach, plowing the boy into the brick wall. Then Bizarro flew up to him and made a fist, as he was ready to blast his fist into the boy’s face, when the boy quickly ducked, evading the punch! “AUOUWW!” Bizarro screamed, as he plowed his fist into the thick, brick wall. He hit the wall so hard, that he punched a hole through the wall with his fist! The pain enraged Bizarro even more, and he leaped over to the boy, who was slowly recovering while standing in the center of the chamber. When Bizarro flew towards him, swinging his fist in the air, the boy quickly hopped out of the way, sending Bizarro crashing into the concrete floor! The blow cracked the floor, and Bizarro was left in a daze! Then Jamie immediately realized that the tables were turned, and he took advantage of Bizarro’s mistakes. He flew up to Bizarro and slammed his fist into the white man’s stomach, making him cringe in pain. Then Jamie blasted his fist into Bizarro’s face, bringing him down on the floor! Bizarro was in serious pain! He had never been hit this hard before, and he definitely expected these kinds of blows from a little kid! Jamie attacked Bizarro with full force, using whatever remaining strength he had left, after the battle with the robots. He delivered blow after blow, slamming his fist into Bizarro’s face, his stomach, and his chin, until the man with the reverse Superman suit came crashing with his face down onto the cracked, concrete floor. When Jamie realized that Bizarro seamed to be unconscious and that he wasn’t moving, he just stood there, looming over his victim for a moment. He was dreadfully tired, he was exhausted from fighting one battle after the other, and his body was completely drenched in sweat. His breathing was heavy as he stood there, panting out of exhaustion. After a few seconds had passed and Bizarro seemed to be knocked out, Jamie turned around and walked over to Wesley and Superman, who were standing by the wall in horror, as they witnessed the super boy’s incredible battle against Bizarro and the robots. Superman had just finished freeing Wesley, and the two were happy to see how Jamie had won the fight. Jamie huddled up with Wesley and Superman, and the three embraced each other. Unfortunately, nobody noticed Bizarro slowly waking up. Bizarro quietly got on his feet. “Jamie, are you alright?” Superman asked the boy. Jamie was standing with his back towards Bizarro. “I say, let’s get out of here… This place gives me the creeps…” Wesley whispered to Jamie. Bizarro made two fists, holding his arms extended before him, aiming for the little, muscular boy. “He was going to destroy the earth with these robots…” Superman started to explain. “AAAAAAAHHHH!!!” Jamie suddenly screamed, as he was blasted in the back by Bizarro’s atomic ray! “JAMIE!” Wesley shouted. ‘OH NO!” Superman immediately flew towards Bizarro, while Jamie collapsed to the floor. Wesley immediately attended his stricken partner, while Superman engaged in a very risky battle with the big, blue and white villain! Wesley turned Jamie’s body around, and he was relieved to see that the boy was still breathing. “Jamie! Wake up!” Wesley shouted at him. “Bizarro is fighting Superman!” Slowly but surely Jamie managed to open his eyes, as Wesley helped him to get back on his feet again. Jamie was still in a daze, but having Superman battle Bizarro gave him a few moments to recover. In the meantime, Bizarro was hitting Superman with one blow after the other. Superman had not fully recovered from the prolonged exposure to Kryptonite yet, and he only had half of his strength back. To make matters even worse, when Bizarro was busy pounding Superman, he came close to the place where the green Kryptonite rock was lying on the floor. Bizarro the leaped to where the green rock was, and he grabbed the Kryptonite in his hand. Superman was left in a daze, since he had received a severe pounding from Bizarro. Then Bizarro leaped back to where the Man of Steel lay and he grabbed Superman by the hair, crushing the Kryptonite rock against his face. “AAAAAAAAHHH!!!” Superman screamed, as the Kryptonite was sapping him of his strength. Then Bizarro tossed the rock aside, and he flew over to the corner of the chamber, where his Kryptonite dagger was laying on the floor, and he picked it up. In the meantime, Superman was sitting on his knees on the floor, greatly weakened and exhausted from the battle. Luckily, Wesley finally managed to get Jamie to stand back up on his feet, when Jamie opened his eyes and looked up, and witnessed the final battle between Superman and Bizarro. Bizarro flew over to Superman, holding a green dagger in his right hand. “ME KILL SUPERMAN WITH KRYPTONITE DAGGER!” Bizarro shouted, holding the Kryptonite dagger high above his head, as he was about to lunge the Kryptonite-covered blade straight into Superman’s chest! “NOOOOO!!!” Jamie screamed, as Bizarro was poised to slaughter the Man of Steel before his very eyes. Suddenly, two rays of heat vision from Jamie’s eyes struck Bizarro’s hand, which held on to the dagger! “AAAUUUWW!!” Bizarro screamed, as the pain in his hand forced him to drop the dagger on the floor! Bizarro quickly got back up on his feet and turned towards Jamie. “ME GOING TO KILL ALL OF YOU!!!!” he roared at them! Jamie’s eyes were red with rage. For the moment, Jamie had enough of Bizarro. “YOU BASTARD!” Jamie shouted at him. “YOU’LL PAY FOR HURTING MY FRIENDS!!!!” Jamie then made two fists, as he extended his arms straight in front of him, taking aim at Bizarro. “THIS IS FOR HURTING SUPERMAN!” he screamed at the top of his lungs! Two thick rays blasted out of Jamie’s fists, knocking Bizarro on the floor! “AND THIS IS FOR HURTING WESLEY!” he screamed, increasing the power as he grinded his teeth! “AAAAAARGG!!!” Bizarro screamed, as he fell on the floor with his knees, crying in pain as his body was being struck by Jamie’s powerful, atomic rays. “TAKE THAT, YOU MONSTER!!!!” Jamie screamed, as tears were coming out of his eyes because of his anger. His face was red with rage, as he continued to blast Bizarro with every ounce of power he could muster! Ray after ray were coming out of Jamie’s fists, striking the blue villain with amazing force! “EAT THIS, YOU CREEP!!!” Jamie shouted out of anger, as he continued to blast his powerful atomic rays at the seemingly weakened man. Bizarro finally collapsed on the floor, with his face down. For a moment Jamie continued to blast him, until he realized that the battle was over. Jamie then stopped the atomic rays, as he pulled his hands towards his face. Jamie was trembling with anger, his face was red as a tomato, and he was panting out of exhaustion. His heart was racing, and he was feeling completely depleted of his energy! Tears were flowing from his eyes, for he had never felt so much anger in his life. He practically went into shock, as he looked down and stared at the palms of his hands. When he realized that he had used every ounce of the strength that he had left in him, he suddenly felt very weak and completely exhausted. “God, I feel so tired…” he said to himself. Everything suddenly turned to black when Jamie collapsed on the floor. For the moment, the chamber seemed so quiet; you could hear a pin drop. Wesley was the only person who was still standing on his feet, although he wished he didn’t have to see any of what had just taken place. The poor boy was left completely in shock, as he witnessed the most horrific battle he had ever seen in his life. Before him were three, motionless bodies on the concrete floor. Bizarro was down, but Superman and Jamie were on the floor as well, and all three were unconscious! Wesley was trembling with fear. He felt cold and lonely, and the thought of perhaps looking out over three dead bodies made him tremble even more. “Hey… Hey guys… Superman?” he stuttered, fearing that none of them would wake up any time soon. “Jamie? Wake up…” He was scared to death, and a sudden sound brought him a sense of relief. Finally, he heard another light groan. It was Superman, who slowly turned around, struggling to get back on his feet. It was an incredible sense of relief for Wesley, when Superman got up and slowly walked towards him. The Man of Steel knew that the boy was scared out of his mind, and he wanted to make sure he was alright. As soon as Superman walked up to him, Wesley practically leaped in his arms, and the two embraced each other for a few moments. “Are you alright?” Superman asked the trembling boy. “Yes… Yes, I’m fine… But… But what about Jamie?” the boy said, still feeling deeply shaken by the horrible battle scene. “Stay here and I’ll go see if he’s alright…” Superman said calmly. “I’m scared… I want to go home…” Wesley said quietly. Tears started rolling down his face. Somehow, Superman felt confident that Jamie would be fine. He knew how strong and how powerful Jamie was, and he realized that it would take a lot more power than what Bizarro and his robots could come up with, in order to bring the little, tough kid down. As Superman was making his way towards Jamie, he walked right past Bizarro. He stopped and looked down at the body and he almost chuckled at the though of how severely the little boy must have punished the nasty, weird villain. “You’re the first one to feel the full extent of the little boy’s incredible power…” Superman whispered to Bizarro. But Bizarro was out cold. And he wouldn’t wake up for a very, very long time! Then Superman strolled over to where Jamie lay on the ground, and he gently placed his hand on the boy’s chest. As he expected, the boy was still alive. He was just left completely exhausted from the grueling battles which he had fought, and won. “Here lies the toughest and strongest kid in the universe…” Superman smiled, as he glanced at the boy’s face. His mouth was open but his eyes were closed. Superman could tell that he was tired. “I can’t wait to tell you how proud I am of my adopted son…” Superman smiled, as he gently lifted the muscular boy and allowed him to rest his head on his right shoulder. Superman held on to him like he was holding a baby… His baby... His little boy. Wesley quietly walked up to Superman and stood next to him. Superman then grabbed hold of both boys, pressing both of them against his own body. “Come on, you guys…” he whispered to Wesley. “Let’s get out of here…” With his arms wrapped around the shoulders of the two boys, Superman quietly and gently took off, slowly flying high over the old fort of the Caribbean island. He landed moments later on a small island, and Wesley wrapped his arms around Superman’s neck, while Superman held on to Jamie’s body while the boy was still unconscious. Superman slowly took off, with Wesley on his back, and while holding Jamie in his arms. With one arm he held on to Jamie’s back, and with the other he held his knees. He took his time to fly home, since all three of them were exhausted. After several hours of flying over the vast Caribbean Sea, Superman finally landed at Gloria’s house, while holding on to the two boys. Gloria immediately came to their assistance, getting Wesley something to drink while Superman gently placed Jamie on his bed. Superman then went into the office with Gloria, and the two signed several papers. They talked about Jamie and they discussed his future. Both Gloria and Superman were overjoyed when Wesley eventually ran into the office. “He’s awake!” he cheered. “Jamie just woke up!” The three of them quietly walked into the bedroom, where the groggy, little boy had just opened his eyes after a long, deep sleep. “Hey, champ…” Gloria said to the sleepy, little boy. “I’m so happy to see you again…” “Hey, Jamie…” Superman said to the muscular boy. “I want to show you something…” “What happened? Did I pass out?” Jamie wondered. “Yes” the Man of Steel replied. “You were probably just feeling a little tired or something…” “Hey, that’s my line!” Jamie laughed, remembering how he said those very same words to his caped super hero when they were at Superman’s gym. With that said, Superman showed the mighty super boy his signed adoption papers. The paperwork had been notarized, and Superman had completed the process of legally adopting Jamie as his son! “I love you, Superman!” Jamie cheered, as he embraced the Man of Steel. “Thank you so much!” “I love you too, Jamie…” Superman smiled. “I love you too…” Both of them had tears in their eyes, and Jamie’s wish had finally come true. Jamie finally had a father again, and this time, his father was none other than the one and only Superman. |
