Life stops, momentarily,
as my mind slips back,
then dwells upon you,
and ever so gently
caresses your memory.
Though distance and time-powerful
by oceans and land-do separate,
they serve only to re-invigorate,
to endow we two with a love profound,
through hearts and minds still sound.
Unlike those others bound
by place and time-loathsome vampires.
Fiery blazes, stormy passions and endless ire
die, passing ashes on an icy northern wind.
Their time fleeting, a pleasure skinned.
So like the sun, granting life and love
Ignorant of the sands, constricting
A perfect harmony, and a golden sphere
A rose hallowed, a diamond's glitter.
Forever more, our orbs venerable sitter.
