My heart was heavy
Laden, as we scattered
Your ashes on a
Hilltop...near Puget Sound. My
Eyelids were swollen,
And brimming with fresh tears,
That somehow refused
To spill down. When out of the
Corner of my eye, I
Caught sight of a silver butterfly
As it came fluttering
To the ground. It landed inches
From me, Its lovely wings
Spread wide....And looked right
At me as it said;
"Hello, I am your Silver
Butterfly. I will be here whenever
You need me for I am like the
Tree of life, I'll
Change today and again tomorrow,
But I'll always be
Your Silver Butterfly."
