Life is a Clock

Our lives are like clocks,
Ticking through the years,
Our bodies moving us,
As time is moved by gears.

We try going through our lives,
Steady and strong,
But even human beings,
Can do things wrong.

There are many steep hills,
Along the path of life:
Up is all the happiness,
And down is all the strife.

But gradually, clocks slow down,
As we start to grow old;
Sooner or later, it quits altogether,
And our lives, we no longer hold.
