Hiding

Where I can hide:
Behind my glasses,
Near the last row of bookshelves,
Facing my computer,
My nose in a novel,
In the eyes of my children,
Profound anxiety,
The sound of her voice,
My heart beating faster,
The flow of a river,
Textures in art,
Dancing and spinning,
Melodies rising
And falling.
Silence.
