Just because you act emotionaless doesn't mean that you really are.
You have no heart.
Your eyes are cold and hard.
Your skin is pale.
But I don’t think you notice…

You refuse to believe you are different.
Everyone sees it but you.
While you mark your flawless characteristics as curses,
Humanity is looking for one word to portray your beauty.

You are a flawless creation,
One that doesn’t belong here,
Too perfect to notice this fact,
Too perfect to care.

Civilization didn’t make a single word fit to describe you,
Or how I feel when you’re around.
Somewhere in your mind I know you’ve figured it out,
Even though I don’t look, talk, or act like you,
We’re identical.

You don’t have to breathe or sleep,
Or fight with the nightmares each night.
They say everyone has a reflection,
And what they see in others are just mirrors of themselves.

Take away the reflection and there would be nothing left,
It’s the only thing that shows your soul,
Life is impossible without it.

As much as you don’t want to admit it,
As much as you try to hide it with the scars,
In the end, you and I are identical because,
Looking in the mirror for the first time you’d realize,
I would be your reflection if you had a soul.

In this poem, I'm talking about someone that's about as emotionally dead as all get out, and someone is in love with them...and they realize that even though the other person claims to be heartless and emotionless that they still love them.

Dedicated to: Well…wouldn’t you like to know?
