Playing hide and seek with the moon,
Promising life I’ll be back soon,
Dancing around in its golden glow,
Giving the trees a reason to grow.
Taking the soul out for a walk,
To the wind I stop to talk,
Letting the breeze caress my dreams,
For the night’s brighter than it seems.
Pushing the sun away from me,
In my world day will never be,
The light I decide I’ll never miss,
As the dark hides me, its shade I kiss.
The rain will come and wash my fear,
Feed my hope, make my loneliness disappear,
Silence will be the peace I need,
From my own joy my body will feed.
So I tiptoe cautiously into the night,
Looking for something to make it right,
Touched by the warm welcome, I finally cry,
Unblocked by my tears my heart may fly.
Time stops its race, it exists no more,
The day will knock on a locked door,
And here I am, so happy, calm and still,
For if no one will love me, then the night will.
