Emotional and Dark
Within the crevice of every human waking
Moments when walking wishes to be but a shadow
And smiling wanes like sunlight from the dying day
There is always a reason
Why people feel they’re suffering.

Choking on their coffee
Makes them hot tempered and bitchy
A crying child devoid its filth birth canal
Makes them shiver and smile with tears
For the existence of another life they hope won’t go astray.

Tragedy, travesty—
Words taken in advantage and out of context.
How can you spell out a mood on the verge of an overreaction?
These things, these moments
I have seen them, felt them—and know they rarely exist in me.

The epitome of sadness
When I am forlorn, grounded, lost
I have searched with glass and stick
Looking for a situation, a trigger to the bullet
And have come up empty-handed, empty-hearted.

There is no justification to my feelings.
The moods, the moments—
They’re all sitting on the edge of a coin about to be flipped
A coin made into a die with at least a thousand scratched sides.
Just a fickle laugh from the Belly of Fate.

So don’t be surprised when I’m annoyed
Hurt
Simple
Smiling
Hating
Weeping
Screaming
It’s all never the same
Never the same as you
For I don’t need to formulate a plan
Which will give excuses for my actions.
