Just more thoughts on the modern world.

Many years ago, Peanuts blessed us with one of the first cartoon animations ever created, Charlie Brown. In comparison to today's modern show, the animation may be lacking, but as far as moral and inspiration goes, Charlie Brown is miles ahead of the modern cartoon. Today's cartoon storylines usually have little or no realism. When a modern cartoon does have a lesson or plot in it, it is usually presented in an abstract or unusual manner.
Charlie Brown deals with real issues like commercialism, and demonstrates them in a realistic yet humorous way. Charlie Brown represents an innocent boy who tries his best, and always has a skeptical way of questioning our modern world. After watching A Charlie Brown Christmas, I realized that little or none of our television shows have this unique, valuable style of down-to-earth cartooning.
This topic also proves itself as a realistic viewpoint on the modern world. It shows that a television show now requires many more attributes to be successful. Charlie Brown was an amazingly popular character in his time, and still is today. I believe this is because of its lesson-teaching, humorous style.
You might think this tells us that a television show does not need good graphics, and fictional storylines to be popular. At least, it didn’t used to. As our cartooning styles evolved, and developed further, psychology mingled with art, and gave birth to today’s warped, flashy cartoons. Perhaps in Charlie Brown’s time, viewers weren’t as demanding, and simply enjoyed cartoons as simple, yet wonderful as Charlie Brown. Now viewers expect more from our million-dollar cartooning equipment and graphic designers.
It remains an interesting thought that today; we require so much more than we did in past eras. Charlie Brown was such a simple mixture. Not psychology and graphics, but simple, original animation and the truth, the realistic point of view.

Just a thought
