This poem is about hiding your true self, from others. |
TrueFace It's hard to tell what someone feels, And hard to know what they may think. What they may think of you? What they may feel about you? As you get closer to them you begin to read their mind. It's almost as if you two are one. Together as one, in a family of many. You see their heart, see what's inside, behind their theatrical acts... behind their smiles... behind their tears... You see their heart, see what's inside. It's hard many times cause many are sly, they know how to wear a Mask... Their in hiding. They put on their show, then when it's done... lay down at night with sobbing tears running off their faces As rain pouring in a forest. They wear a good Mask, nice and thick to hide their sorrows They laugh, as if on top of the world, looking down with a smile at everything in it... while inside, their dying... losing hope of ever smiling with true face, of ever laughing with true meaning, of being loved by another but not a love of the mask, but of the true person behind. They can hide what they may feel... They can hide what they may think... from me. But God knows all, He lives behind the mask in the true heart of the masked. Only He can reveal the face... Only He can reveal the heart... Only He can remove the mask. Frogger |
