BLACKSON AND BOOK
Deafeningly the sky roars
And water from its bowels pours,
Chilly turns the sombre night
And begins the coldness to bite,
Overnight Blackson, impoverished and worn,
Reads book, For who masters book not
He shall see the sun not
In this Blackland torn.
