my first romance poem. in a guy's POV. don't ask why. |
Through shadows that fill the sky And rays that bleed luminous red Past the ocean lit with ruby fire And golden sands up ahead. Through forests of dazzling emerald And rivers of sapphire hue Past the buried treasure of ancient tombs I seek the world for you. The sun makes way for the silver king As the servants gather ye round Eyes alight, they guide me through the night To the kingdom where you'll be found. So through the scorching dragon's land And sky maids' tearful storms Past fairie lands untouched by hands Of destructive knights and evil born. Where does thee lie in wait, for love To come on noble wings? In a giant shell beneath the waves Or on Saturn's icy rings? A word not need be spoken For thy heart will lead the way Through rings of fire or ghostly mist I will be with you someday. So wait for me, and ten thousand arrows Of cupid have I to pierce The icy heart of a fallen princess Our love held strong and fierce. Come, thy beautiful, sidle next to me On my galloping winter mare Every golden kingdom touched by heaven's light Will be for us to share. |
