i revised the story. I changed it, it's better. Vampires!
Jacob gazed down at the busy streets of New York with drool dripping from his mouth. His small fangs were visible as he smiled at his next victims to be. Then he reluctantly jumped off the rooftop of the skyscraper and defied gravity.

He wasn't like many other 13 year old kids. Jacob was a vampire, if you could not tell. He had been bitten almost twenty years ago when he was running through the streets with all of his friends.

It was a chilly October night and Jacob had been otu lonager than he usually would hae been. He had been racing throught the streets with his friends, laughing and joking around. Jacob was a very slow runner and none of his other buddies bothered to see if he was still behind.

As he was about to pass an alleyway, a man grabbed him. Jacob saw that from the man's fangs, and black cloak that made him look like the night itself in the alleyway, that this was no ordinary man. Satnding before Jacob was the creature of myth, the living dead creature of the night, a vampiure. The vampire wore a hood over his head but Jacob could see the crimson eyes that made Jacob's heart run cold.

Jacob was stricken with fear at the sight of the vampire before him. Sweat dripped from his forehead as he stood before the creature of the night. Jacob was pushed against the wall and the vampire peirced his neck with the fangs that hung out between his teeth.

"Into the darkness," the vampire muttered.

The vampire sucked the blood out of Jacob with precision. Jacob could fell his blood being quickly drained from him and when the vampire had finsihed the deed, Jacob collpased to the ground. The vampire removed the hood form his face.

"Rise," the vampire commanded.

Jacob raised his head in angusih, His heart began to beat very slowly and he felt a craving for blood. He felt as if he would die at that very moment but he still remained on Earth.

Then the boy got a good lok at the vampire's face. He wasn't very old, maybe about 35. He had short blond hair and was very tall.

"What have you done?" Jacob asked through tears that streamed down his cold cheeks.

"I have made you my apprentice. You are now an eternal creature of the night."

Jacob couldn't believe what the vampire was saying. "This is impossible. Vampires don't-"

"Exist," the vampire finished. "I am sorry to tell you, my boy, that we are real and now you are one of us."

"No," Jacob muttered.

The vampire then moved to the other side of the alleyway in one second flat. He smiled at Jacob and then the boy followed. He taught Jacob the ways of the vampire, how they could move quicker and were stronger than any humans, how they must drink blood every week, and that they can never befriend a human.

Jacob never saw his friends again. They too had wondered what happened to him but they never found out. They took him for dead.

He and the vampire, Jarius, lived together in hiding for the past twenty years. They moved from place to place, never staying in the same location so that they were not ever found. Once, they had baffled the police after they had sucked the blood out of their victims, leaving them for dead, every single night.

Jacob hated being a vampire. He missed his friends and his family. He loathed being trapped inside his young body for the twenty years of his life, not changing or looking any different. Jacob wished that Jarius had not tkaen the sheer joy of childhood away from him.

Jacob began to despise Jarius over the years. Jacob was treated as if he were a servant and he longed for a companion. That was his sole desire, to have a friend. Jarius had always gone out to parties with other vampires while leaving Jacob behind and alone. Jacob always was alone and his master never did anything with him What made Jacob's hatred grow stronger was the fact that jarius had bitten him..Jacob grew angry with his master after one of their arguments. It was only a few weeks ago he had rid of the vampire forever.

"No, you can not have a companion," Jarius stated.

"Why?' Jacob moaned.

"I am your master and i decide what is best for you. I say you shall not go gallavanting with any humans. You shall have no contact between any human."

"I will and I shall," Jacob answered.

Jacob plunged at his master with a knife. He stabbed the vampire directly in the heart. Jarius had told him that was the only way to kill a vampire. Jacob watched with pleasure as blood poured from his master's mouth and his breathing ceased forever.

Now, twenty years after being bitten, Jacob was hunting down his prey in the crowded streets of NYC. He landed down on the gorund without an injury or mark of any sort. The young vampire looked around and saw a young teenage girl walking solely, shaking her head along to the music that she was listening to.

His victim tossed her long brown hair out of her face. Jacob slowly followed the girl as she walked closer and closer to the nearest dark alleyway. Even though there were groups of people behind the young girl, Jacob ran through them with his vampire speed.

Suddenly, he pulled the girl into the dimly lit alleyway. The girl screamed but Jacob placed his hands over her mouth to stifle her cry.

"Please, let me go!" the girl pleaded as her words came out muffled.

Jacob felt no compassion for this innocent teenager. Jarius had shown no sympathy for Jacob, so why shoud he? He couln't live alone any longer. He had killed his master and he was lonely. He needed a companion. It was the only thing, he ever wanted, a friend.

"Please," the girl mourned.

Jacob pushed her against the wall. With delight he pricked her neck with his fangs until they were deep under her skin. She moaned in agony as the blood was drained from her.

"My companion," Jacob muttered.

The female teenager turned to her attacker with tears running down her cheeks. She bore the same face as Jacob when he had been bitten. The girl stood up and turned to he vampire boy.

"What is your name?" the vampire asked.

The girl looked at him and cautiously said, "Jenny."

The vampire grinned at his new companion and she smiled at him to as if she understood what was happening. She would never understand, no human on Earth would ever be able to interpret Jacob's desire.

"Come with me Jenny and I will teach you how to live as I do."

The two vampires grabbed each other's hands and strolled down the streets of NYc together. Jacob never saw what was coming next. They both walked up the walls of the skyscraper, going back and forth about what the feeling of being a vampire. Then, they reached the rooftop.

"Miss me Jacob?" a voice mused.

Jacob turned and froze in fear. Standing before him was his old master, Jarius. Jarius was wearing the same black cloak that he had worn the day Jacob had been bitten.

"No," Jacob cursed under his breath. "I killed you! You can't be alive!"

Jarius now stood before the two young vampires. He grinned maliciously, grasped the young female vampire, and tossed her on the other side of the roof. Then he grabbed Jacob and squeezed his neck. Jarius had much more strength than the young vampire and he effortlessly lifted him in the air.

"You fool, you can't kill a vampire!" Jarius cackled. "You actually believed it was possible! We are cursed for all eternity."

"Then how do you rid of a vampire?" asked Jacob.

"You can''t."

Jacob felt his air being lost. How is this possible? He can't die, vampires are immortal creatures of the night.

"Of course, if the strength of a vampire outmatches another, they could kill me. But, you are not stronger than me. On the other hand, I shall enjoy watching you die. When I am rid of you, I shall take your companion and make her my new apprentice. If you had listened to me, none of this would have ever happened. Vampires are not supposed to take mortals for their own selfish desires."

"You took me," Jacob coughed with rage..

"That was because I was told to. Your parents had told me to do so."

"You''re lying!" the young vampire choked.

"It is true, Jacob. They had been vampire hunters and had known me for so long. I was their ally in a sense. They feared the enemy vampires would come after you becuase you were the son of vampire hunters. They asked me to bite so you could be safe. They wanted you to live. I tried to tell them it was not worth but they wanted you to live forever. I bit you because your parents loved you, not because I wanted you as a servant. You should have listened to me, Jacob. Now you will be silenced forever and man shall no longer fear being turned into an eternal creature of the night." The he added, "There are much worse things than death, Jacob. Rest at peace. May God go with you. I hope you see your parents in the place you are going because they died a few years ago."

Jacob could not beleive what he was hearing but in his last moments, he thought it was true. His last action on Earth was a smile to his old master. He was right, there are worse things than death. Jacob was happy that he would see his family again and be in the House of God. Jacob thought to himself, Many People think that living on earth forever would be a reward but they don't know. Jarius squeezed with all his strength at the young vampire's neck. Jacob only saw black and his body was entred into the darkness forever.
