My Haunting

I struggle daily with my loss
Will I ever be forgiven
Will the struggle never end
Eternal hell is where I shall be caught

I think of you my love
Your eyes, your mouth, your locks of hair
Have you also not forgiven
Or will you forever haunt

I don’t expect you to understand
I don’t expect you to even care
I know not where you are
My love and guilt never to be spared

I had one last chance
Thrown away yet forever
I want to go back
I want you my sweet, forever and ever….

I see you in my dreams
In my nightmares too
My guilt is endless
My life an empty room…

You will live within me always
I feel you in my arms
You would have been blessed
You may have been my prince…

I see your tiny fingers
The slight twitch of your lips
You lay against me gently
I sing you to sleep

I will love you always my sweet baby
My love who never was to be
You will live in my heart forever
Only in my dreams were you ever meant to be……………………
