Watching the Sunset

Watching the sunset,
The colors melt together telling our story.
We sat there talking like we'd known each other forever.
I shared secrets no one else knew
And you kept me laughing,
Smiling when you saw my eyes shine.
You reached out to take my hand,
and I slid closer to you.
As the sun set, falling into the horizon,
you held me as I fell asleep in your arms,
our story resting another night.
