I wrote this poem for my father, whom died when I was only a baby. |
I hate you- For what you did to me; I hate you- For the way you disappeared on me. I hate you- For the way you were never there for me; But most of all, I hate you- For the way you left me. You were supposed to be there for me- Through good and bad; You were supposed to be there for me- Through all i had. You were supposed to be there for me- But you never were; You were supposed to be there for me- And now you're in the clouds with the birds. You left me- And never came back; You left me- And you didn't even pack. You left me- You couldn't even say "Good-Bye"; You left me- Right when you had to die. You left me- And you were all I had; You left me- Which made me sad. You left me- Which made me mad; You left me- But you'll always be my Dad. You left me- Without saying "I love you"; You left me- When my sister was only two. Now that you're gone- I can't stand the quiet; Now that you're gone- I'm never baby. Now that you're gone- I'm the only one that's paying; Now that you're gone- I listen to my favorite saying. It's true- Even though the sky is blue; Someone will always be with you- And the wind always brings a spirit to you. And now that you're gone- I can know; And now that you're gone- I can show. And now that you're gone- I know that you are with me; And now that you're gone- I'll always have you with me. I miss you- And I love you. |
