I did it for my english and my teacher told me to put it on here.
As the sun gradually fell beneath the outlying hills the day grew darker. The shadow enclosed each street second by second. The covering of each house at first a blazing glow of light, now a sinister blemish. At that time, each resident of the small town of Polperro blew out there candles and tucked into a night’s sleep. A long and fun filled day waited each dweller when they awoke; the festival was in town and all dearly loved it. Except of course Carl Anderson, the town misery, anything that ever happened which was anything to do with fun he would complain and always say it was not worth the money. He was a nasty piece of work who hated everything except his black cat, which he named Roger after his favourite James Bond actor Roger Moore.

The next dawn came, the sun woke up from its slumber once again, and scorched the land with brightness and another day began. Every sleeping person woke to the sound of birds tweeting in the trees and the sweet gentle harmony of the silvery stream running through the town. All but Carl of course who was renowned for his laziness, for always staying in bed, usually till after dinner. Each person who strolled past his house would stare in disgust at the closed curtains in each room. Polperro was a bright and cheerful town and its inhabitants believed all who live there should be the same. The banners where raised in the sunny green fields, the lake was set up for the annual boat race and a frown was as common as sharks in a canal. Four girls always organised the festival Sheryl, Katie, Harriet and Georgina. They had been friends since school and now were all aged 25. All of them were as beautiful as a bright orange sunset, shining over snow filled mountains, and a family of doves soaring in the distance. Everywhere they went men melted like chocolate on the end of their tongue, they could charm evil and make depression smile. They went everywhere together like a family, although they slept under different roofs most of their days where spent with one another.

The night once again approached and all anxiously waited the big festival, excitement spread like a swarm of locusts over a field of corn. Sheryl, Katie, Harriet and Georgina went to light the first fireworks, which in turn would tell all. The party had begun. All hurried in like a stampede of bulls, rushing to the stalls to throw coconuts, watch humorous entertainment and admire golden showers of gunpowder. The fireworks shot up into the air to give off a stream of colour and light the ground and faces of people below. Katie was notorious among the girls as the flirty one and would often wander off to talk to people, usually of the opposite sex. This to most was her downfall; she could not resist a good-looking male.
As the four would normally do, they sat down on a bench and ate their burgers and chips. Katie got up,
“I’m off to the toilets, and won’t be a minute”. She spoke with a hint of trepidation; never the less, she carried on towards the toilets. Minutes later she came back, with an awkward smile on her face, she bellowed out to the others “Oh my God! I have met this man and he’s an extremely attractive male”, and the others looked up at her in curiosity. Katie told them he was a fair blonde haired man with an overwhelming scar across his face that he got in the military. She took another breath and was just about to articulate another word when, a man appeared behind her. He spoke with a deep voice and had eyes like a wild tiger about to seize upon on a deer. The girls knew there was something suspicious lurking within the atmosphere. The dark gloom of the night blacked out his face, nobody could see him fully, and his voice clearly spoke,
“Come on now Katie, we must go”. The girls pleaded with her to stay but she insisted that she wanted to follow him.
Weeks passed after that day; each was as typical as the next, except for Katie who had been madly in love. Every girl she met she would say, “Oh, his name’s Derrick. He is gorgeous! He is such a nice person”. She described her love for him like a footstep on the moon, to last forever, and said that every time she thought about him her heartbeat, he was the only reason she was going. Her friends thought she was stupid and saw Derrick as trouble.

It was Tuesday black clouds plagued the skies, rain clattered on the rooftops. The streets where flooded with water and the puddles beset the streets. Two local police officers where walking down the streets talking about the recent festival. As they took their next steps they strolled upon Carl Anderson’s house, his curtains were both close and the house looked as dull as ever. They carried on in there gentle stroll down the miserable boulevard of wetness, each step sounded like a stone falling into a lake. The door to the depressing residence opened, a full-grown man with long hair walked out and shut the door. His path consisted towards the two officers, nether the less they carried on walking unbeknown to them this suspicious man lurked in the distance behind them. His footsteps gained a quicker pace as he approached them, but still they ignored the presence and carried on there convocation. It was as if they where two robots programmed to walk forwards and no else. His footsteps mover faster and faster until he was almost running, he was close now, very close. You could almost hear the bitter grinding sound of his warm breath in the humid ambience. He reached into his pocket still walking at a fast pace. All of a sudden, the door slammed open and out ran a screaming woman covered in blood from head to toe, she screamed in an ear splitting tone and pulled out a gun. Three shots boomed and echoed of each house and wall. The longhaired man fell to his knees, the blood from the wounds raced with the rain to the ground. His face then fell into a puddle beneath him and a river of red ran beneath him. The world came to a sudden halt as another shot fired and another body fell to the ground. All of a sudden, the sun clouds spread like a bees from a hive and the sun raced across the land. The beautiful lake shone a glaze of reflected light to the surrounding landscape and the birds tweeted in the trees again. Moreover, there they lay and stood on a blood-covered street of death, four bodies, two lay on the ground breathing no more, the others stood in disbelief at what they had just witnessed. The first officer spoke up loud with a hint of aggression “what has the world come to, who wants to live in this world where death and sin are common occurrences. Life is continuously diminishing into corruption and evil, why do trees shine green in the forests and seas shine blue in the waters of the world. We do not deserve the beauty which we where gave by the graceful lord, we deserve fires and rivers of lustrous lava. If where going to treat the world like hell why not should it look like it”.
