Journey

She walks in the sunlight
Feels the breeze in her hair
ventures far away
just as far as she dares

For a while there were others
that shared in her way
but she knew that nobody
could possibly stay


when all others stop
Still, She will go on
Prepared, she continues
knowing her journey is long.

When the sunlight faded
and her feet became worn
her path never falterd
though her face was forlorn

She feared the dark night
when all had gone black
She turned on her heels
and ran far back

This she did not know
so she did not last
The light only comes
when the worst has passed.

And surprising is this,
I must be blunt
her journeys ending
was one step in front
