The Lost Light....

Stare deep into the beauty of the night,
Not a single shred of light,
Even the stars has lost their spark,
All your eyes can lay upon is dark,

Everything seems so distant and far
How i wish i could wish upon my star,
But yet the darkness is the only thing in sight,
As i close my eyes and sleep through the night

And yet again this pain takes over my heart
Like a knife tearing it apart
I lost my breath,why can't I feel the air?
I lost all sense of hope and no one seems to care

Yet the silience of the night is amazing,
And the darkness of it all is breathtaking,
Emotions running up and down,
My smile is replaced with a frown

Where is the light, that single shred of hope?
All this pain, I can not cope.
Slowly,I open up my eyes
And suddenly I realise

A breakthrough of light
Just appeared in my sight
The darkness has gone
And the light has shone...
