Lying, cheating, blackmailing, and love? More will happen on this boat than anyone imagined
“Oh my god, are you ok?” Andy asks the young mans who is now rolling on the ground as he holds his bleeding nose.

“I think my nose is broken,” the man responds as he sits up.

“Here, I’ll help you up,” Andy tells the man as she reaches out her hand.

The young man grasps her hand and slowly gets up to his feet. Once standing, he tilts his head back and makes a horrible sound with his nose. Andy winces in pain as she tries not to laugh at the misfortune of the young man.

“My room is right down here. Thanks for help,” the young man says as he turns around and heads towards his room.

“Oh please let me help. I feel horrible about it. You could have broken your nose,” Andy runs after the man who is limping for some unknown reason.

“It’s really not a problem. My fiancé is a nurse and she’ll be able to determine if it’s actually broken,” the man assures Andy as he hobbles and reaches for a door knob.

“Alright, I hope you’ll be ok,” Andy wishes as she watches the man turn the knob.

“Honey!” the man yells as he enters the room.

Andy glances into the room. When no one responds, she follows the man into the room.

“Maybe she went somewhere,” Andy guesses as she watches the man sit down on the bed and grabs a tissue.

“Yah, she probably went to get something,” he responds and then blows his nose.
Andy approaches the young man and sits down next to him. She looks at him as he looks at the blood in the tissue. She turns away for a quick second in disgust.

“My name is Pete, if you were wondering. My fiancée’s name is Beth. We’re traveling to England to see her family before the marriage,” the young man explains as he throws the tissue in the garbage near the bed.

“I’m uh, Sarah. I’m traveling to Europe on business. I’m an economic, uh, trader person. It’s a difficult job, but traveling is one of its perks,” Andy lies as she turns a little away from the man.

“I know what you mean. I’m a dentist,” Pete says as Andy let’s out a little laugh.

“I heard dentistry is a rough job,” Andy replies, trying to not laugh.

“No, it really is. Dentists are one of the most hated people in the country. I mean what kid says that they love a dentist or want to be a dentist when they grow up?” Pete asks Andy as he takes yet another tissue and holds it up to his nose.

“That’s not true. I’m a big fan of dentists. I actually begged my parents to take me when I was younger. I always loved the whole drill thing. It gave me a tingle throughout my body,” Andy tries to convince Pete as she shakes symbolizing her tingling.

Pete smiles a bit, but doesn’t say anything. He looks up at Andy and he stops smiling. He stares deep into her eyes as Andy looks back.

Without notice, Pete leans in a kisses Andy. The kiss wasn’t romantic. In fact, it was rather sloppy and teenage-like. Andy pulls away in shock. Pete closes his eyes and starts shaking his head.

“That was not good. It was very bad. I never should have done that. I’m getting married! Oh goodness, I’m in way too deep,” Pete says as he shakes his head looking as if he might cry.

Andy stares at him for along time. She contemplates the possibility of blackmailing this goof of a man. She knew that dentist had a good enough amount of money. If she couldn’t get money, she could at least get a free toothbrush or something. Maybe she could even get braces since she always thought her teeth weren’t straight enough.

Picking up Pete’s chin, Andy kisses him once again. Now, Andy knew how to kiss. She would be much poorer if she didn’t know how to kiss. Pete seemed like a child next to Andy even though they were about the same age. The kiss didn’t last long, but Andy leaves the room an hour later able to almost feel Pete’s money in her pocket. At this point, Andy could already blackmail him.

Andy closes the door to the room without looking back at her next victim. She leans on the door and smiles a little. The flair in her eye is illuminated. Her blonde hair is a little messy, but she’s still presentable.

“Well, hello,” a voice to her left breaks her thinking.

The voice comes from the military man from the deck. He has on a leather jacket now and looks more dangerous than before. This sense of danger intrigues Andy and she soon realizes that he might be a potential victim.

“Hey, hero,” she grins as she picks herself up from leaning on the door.

“Please call me James,” he tells her as he twirls a rope tied to a camera.

“Ok, James. What’s with the camera?” Andy asks as she points to the camera.

He looks down at his camera and says, “Say cheese.”

James snaps a picture of Andy as she does a pose. The picture comes out of the bottom of the camera and James grabs it before Andy can.

“Nope, this one is for me,” He explains as he fans himself with the photo.

“Oh, are we a stalker?” Andy asks as she looks into his eyes.

“Would it bother you if I said I was?” He inquires as he smirks.

“No, if anything it would flatter me,” Andy says soon realizing that she seems pretty pathetic now.

“Would you like to have dinner with me?” James questions.

“Sure. When?” Andy inquires as she looks at her watch.

“How about now?”

“Now? It’s only 3!”

“You can’t eat at 3? Is there something bad about eating at 3 o’ clock that no one has told me?”

“It’s a bit early.”

“Not when you get up at 4 o’ clock in the morning.”

Andy smiles and nods, “Fine, let’s go now, at 3 o’ clock.”

“Now if only we can find our way to the dining room,” James says in confusion as he turns around in a circle.

“Oh, I know my way. I know the, um,” Andy pauses, “I know the architect of the boat.”

Andy smiles to herself. This was one of the few times she was completely honest with herself. She tilts her head in the direction they needed to go. James smiles and starts off in the direction. Andy follows James and almost completely forgets about Pete….almost.
