Autumn's Beauty

I saw some leaves today
They traveled on the wind
Back and forth and up and down
Around and back again

This beautiful occurance
Is not just left to chance
These leaves are purposed by the Lord
To dance their joyful dance.

I heard some sounds today
That came both soft and loud
The crickets and frogs, the birds and dogs
All sang their songs so proud

These wonderful songs we hear
Are not just "one more thing"
The songs are purposed by the Lord
They call all creation to sing

I felt some beauty today
The sun, the wind, the rain
They gave of their strength to refresh the earth
Shining, blowing, pouring their fame

The glorious things we feel
The warm sun, the cool air, the wet rain
The weather is purposed by the Lord
To renew the earth's beauty again

Autumn is so lovely
There are many things, I know
To see, to touch, to hear to taste
but to notice you must go slow

Every year most faithfully
This time will most surely come
Autumn is purposed by the Lord
It's beauty cannot be outdone
