The cry of a mother...
I never saw your baby face
'Nor heard your little laugh.
I never kissed your chubby cheeks
Or held you in my lap.

At the time it seemed the best,
To treat you like an accident.
Ger rid of you, get on with life
Was all that I could think to do.

Soon the dirty deed was done,
My little baby was no more.
I struggled with the pain for days,
But I told myself "It's just a phase."

But no earthly words could 'er describe
The heartache that I felt inside.
My body didn't hurt anymore,
But my heart just ached more and more.

I tried to hide the very thought,
To keep it stuffed down deep inside.
But all the day my heart just cried
"Stop! Don't you know you told a lie?"

You weren't just an accident,
A blob within myself.
You were a living human baby, dear,
A life, not a bunch of cells.

You didn't deserve the end I gave,
But I beg you, please understand.
I thought I'd just get rid of you,
A "blob", because I can.

But now I know that's not the truth,
Those people told a lie.
You were a breathing human too,
Who deserved to have a life.
