YOU WON’T BELIEVE THIS…

SHORT STORY WRITING COMPETITION

The Labor & Worklife Program at Harvard Law School is pleased to announce a “You Won’t Believe This…” Short Story writing competition. Deadline for submission is High Noon (Eastern) January 31st, 2007. All entries must be 750 words or less. Please submit stories via the online form available at http://www.worklifewizard.org/main/worklifestories/worklifestory.

Stories may address any work-relevant experience within or outside the workplace (for example, with coworkers) that you found to be particularly quirky or memorable.. Go to http://www.worklifewizard.org/main/worklifestories/samplestories/ for some examples of stories.

If you would not like your first name attributed to your story, please include a pseudonym.

All appropriate stories submitted will be published on the WorklifeWizard website: http://www.worklifewizard.org.

First and second place winners will be announced on the WorklifeWizard (www.worklifewizard.org) site no later than noon (Eastern) on Friday, February 9th, 2007.

We will NEVER reveal your name or ANY contact information on the website or elsewhere or use this information for commercial or other purposes.

PRIZES

In addition to recognition and prestige from winning this Harvard Law School competition, the top three contestants will receive a WorklifeWizard travel mug.

RULES AND SPECIFICATIONS

1. Each submission must include the author’s email address.

2. Submissions must be no longer than 750 words.

3. Story content is not restricted to workplace issues but must somehow relate to the workplace or worklife.

4. The jury is comprised of WorklifeWizard leadership, and its verdict is final.

5. The jury will be looking for two great stories: 1st place and one 2nd place winner.

6. By entering the WorklifeWizard Horror Story contest, writers certify that work submitted is truthful, their original work, and not under any existing copyrights.

7. The winner gives permission to the Labor & Worklife Program at the Harvard Law School to all legal rights, including all reproduction.

8. If entrant is under 18, for submission to be considered, written permission must be received no later than Noon (Eastern) on January 31, 2007. Please send or fax signed parent/guardian permission to the following address:
