Need of Love

Sitting in the shadows
On the hillsides of the meadows
Looking down upon wild flowers
Forgetting about the hours

Wishing to be bathed in sunlight
Yet not having such a right
Wishing deep down to be
As free as the wild flowers she could see

A desire deep within her starts to burn
Wondering when it’d be her turn
When she wouldn’t feel so alone
Another’s love always just her own

Arms for her to be wrapped in
Flesh against flesh, skin mixing with skin
She lets out a lonely sigh
Willing herself not to cry
