A Winter monorhyme, Couplet- 9 syl. per line
Outside the cold gusts of north winds blow,
I reach for another quilted throw.

Out on the ground with a shiny glow,
Are autumn tree leaves covered with snow.

The harvest now past that came too slow,
This long nap needed is welcome though.

Humidity climbs, starting out low,
Is how we get leaves covered with snow.

Parents shopping so presents soon flow.
Peace to mankind for all friends and foe.

Free sleigh rides but tell the team to whoa!
Stop to look at leaves covered with snow.

My frigid toes and fingers are froze.
Get some hot cocoa with marshmallows.

Winds blow through limbs telling us to go.
Old man winter leaves, covered with snow.
