You promised me tomorrow
we'd get rid of all our tears
said the best way to accomplish this
was to relinquish all our fears

that you'd never leave my side
and even after every fall
you stood again and tried

my pain would go away
told me not to worry
about tomorrow, beyond today

the joy I miss would be returned

that only sunshine would remain

there was still so much to gain

it's your life, you'd give for me
made me feel like I'd be worth it
if it meant that I'd be free

but of all the things you promised
tomorrow was never promised to YOU...
