My heart is filled with hatred
My soul is filled with guilt
My life is full of pain
and my world is flooded with rain

All my days feel like nights
cause I can't seem to see the light
Step my step I'm walking blind
Hoping and praying that I'll find

A way for my sins to be forgiven
My past to be forgotten
My flaws overlooked
and my loved to be replaced

I'd give everything I've got
cause I'm tired of trying to be a person I'm not
To be able to look in the mirror and say
I am proud of the person I am today

But I'm haunted by the past
Scared of the future
Stuck in the present
Living in fear

This is not how I thought life would be
Pain and sorrow is all that I see
Struggling to survive each and everyday
Asking the LORD to show me the way
