CHRISTMAS DOWN UNDER https://www.christmasdownunderstories.com As I’m sure every Aussie and Kiwi would know — There’s nothing so silly as Christmas with snow! While children in London are having a freeze — We folk over here, have the fan for some breeze. And as Santa is magic, it’s quite plain to see, that he doesn’t come here dressed in red neck to knee! He’s cool, in a hat, (with a wide brim is best) and he leaves his old red suit at home for a rest. He swaps sleds in the South Pole and comes straight up here, on a surfboard, with Kangas and lots of cool cheer! Some houses have chimneys. And others do not, (‘cause most of the time it is too flamin’ hot!) So he slips in the windows, when they are just open. or simply through walls (now don’t think I’m jokin’). While Suzie is sleeping and sucking her thumb, Tommy’s calling out to his Mum, “One more glass of water and I promise I’ll be, asleep just before you and Dad count to three!” Old Santa is slowly buzzing the air, wishing and waiting for QUIET DOWN THERE! As Soon as they are all asleep in their beds, He creeps in and silently counts all the heads. Then rubbing his hands together with glee, he starts to leave all his gifts by the tree. A doll’s house for Suzie. A skateboard for Sam. For Mummy nice powder, new leash for Old Dan. Daddy some shave cream, some puzzles for Shane and last but not least, for Tommy, a train! Then off he zips in a wink of an eye. His Kangas and he, off across the night sky! When they wake in the morning with cries of delight. They see what he’s left them, that hot steamy night. With kisses and hugs, everyone yelling — “Happy Christmas!” “Merry Christmas!” and that is the telling — As Santa roars off in the summertime thunder, the way that it happens at Christmas, Down Under.
