I have to describe what I saw, my dream, it was vivid. The world must know. |
Jack pumped his legs and arms furiously, he was scared, and he ran like a man who had everything to lose. He could hear it as it chased him down the concrete hall, the heavy labored breathing, the four inhuman legs it possessed slapping against the dusty floor as it rushed down the hall with him. He stole a quick glance behind him, and let out a strangled scream, his steps faltering for that moment as he attempted to catch his breath. It was closer, always getting closer. The thing could almost be called human, had it not been for the head and the four legs. The face and the legs, peeled like an apple with a razor blade. The layer of pink flesh stripped, the muscles and bones exposed. The faces of those it devoured reached out for Jack from the exposed flesh, the voices of the eaten sang out to him, piercing his consciousness, slipping into his mind to soothe him, telling him that the pain would be momentary and fleeting. It primed its rear legs, launching itself forward to block the hall with it's bulk. It was noticeably taller then any human, and used that to it's advantage. Jack slipped and fell, sliding to a halt at its feet, his voice rising in a scream as it reached out with a free hand, the fingers gripping at his head. The other hand bringing the heavy bronze lamp forward, pressing the hot glass to Jack's face. It leaned forward, the labored breath rancid in Jack's nostrils, and it's tongue slid out, pieces of sharp bone extruding, like knives, and wrapped itself around Jack's neck. The sharp protrusions rubbed against his neck roughly, leaving small cuts to bleed. Jack froze, the scream dying in his throat as he witnessed his final moments of life. The tongue wrapped itself lovingly around his throat, and like a snake would squeeze it's prey, the tongue did the same. He flailed against the monster, his last moments of life were fleeting, the pain fading just like the voices told him. They sang to him in his last moments of life, inviting them to join them in their paradise. He did. |
