Phantom Mirror

As I look into the mirror,
A lovely reflection is what I see;
But still behind all that beauty,
Ghosts of the past are haunting me.

Behind these soft fabrics,
Underneath expensive clothes,
Hides a girl with memories of dirty attics;
Who once slept on cutting stones.

Envy, pride and gluttony
Are all staring back at me;
My expression is just a little blurry,
With the secrets that I hide;

The Ghost of the past will always
be here to remind me,
Of the broken heart
I have inside.
