Fight To Stay Alive

There’s a locked door far behind,
Any other door that’s in my mind,
It’s dark, scary, and a lonely place,
My mind is lost in a dark form of space,
I can open that door at any time I please,
But I keep it shut so I can’t freeze,
See, you get so cold but you don’t feel a thing,
Your hands get numb then tingle and sting,

You start to shake and tremble beyond control,
All the happiness is sucked from your soul,
But you’ve got to find the light,
Gotta save yourself from fright,
Open up your mind and feel the happiness,
No matter how bad it can progress,
You’ve got to fight to stay alive,
It’s the only way you can survive.

And now I’m falling towards the door,
The one still open from before,
The one that scared me half to life,
But now everything will be alright,

It’s a thing that will change your ways;
A new way to begin your days,
The happiness that I feel now,
Couldn’t have come if I went without;
Without the pain I felt before,
Caused by only my own heart and nothing more,
