The Night

The Night

The stars are out tonight,

Beautiful and bright,

I sit and write,


I remember the cold concrete,

Cold, cold, so very cold on my feet,

I lift my head up to see,


The stars are out tonight,

Shining bright,


For once I can see the sky,

The stars look like firefly's.


The fog covers the ground,

It looks beautiful all around.

No one's around,

To appreciate the lack of sound.


All that's in sight,

Is a neighbors porch light,

I feel the cold air of the night


That's eternally

Nocturnal,

So beautiful,

I take delight

In the night.

Looking up at the stars so bright.
