Acceptance Of Reality

Stumbling in a groggy stupor
Through my daily morning maze
Days reaching toward my future
Into the mirror I aimlessly gaze.

Stifled by the revealed transformation
Mirror exposing life's relentless tally
Solemn is my disclosed expression
Unveiling each episodes emotional rally.

Moments beyond mornings beginning
Surpassed innocence grossly visible
Eclipse of my youthfulness, now ending
Dreams relinquished to goals accessible.

Obvious demisse of the way it used to be
Acceptance of reality now imperative
With my eyes now wide open to see
For the rest of my life I eagerly seek to live.
