Halloween

Dwarfed candles easily gloom
To the wee beast's delight.
Lopsided spools aside the loom,
The dangling crest of some old knight--
Long since a sword's-point-doom
Ended his might;
Here, a wicker broom;
There, a cat affright--
Creeping demons joyously groom
The shadows of the night...
