Awakening

The Awakening

As a nurtured flower grows
So grows an unfolding inner being.

Blossoms of a natural desire
where power and limitation
meld conspicuous

The contiguous line
Between heart and mind
as energy chooses to bloom,
until its body releases the fear of
the competing powers
of flesh and spirit.

In a soul,
where force has been,
a new flower blossoms into life,
to grasp the wind
with sodden petals.

When sun and moon
raise it up from the earth
it will stand
naked in the rain
as at its birth.
