Heart-broken but Spoken

Our thoughts, good and bad, can be poison
to the unrealistic romantic story that love always wins.

People attracted to the sunset view life in colors
resurrected by reactions of beautiful people's grins.

Dreams have no bearing unless actions dominate
like you cannot write a master piece if you do not concentrate.

You might have to take a while to deliberate
on how you feel about love and if you must, elaborate.

Life is harsh and no one is sure that love will find
the heart that is pure and whose heart is kind.

Understanding of love does not seek my soul
but as time passes I will remain whole.

If there is one thing that I know
it is, forget the past and try to grow.
