Brief notes on a day.
I woke up early tense with worry.  So much to do, so much on my mind.
I forced the worry from me, with effort.  Knowing from experience worrying solves nothing, only adding to a knot in the stomach--which isn't good by any word one might describe it.
Showered, I felt better.  I had faced the sun and said heartfelt prayers for the well-being of those I love and have loved.
I  breakfasted quickly, checked my e-mail, then went to work--a little housecleaning. I'm not done yet, but feel a bit of a glow.  At least one task done.
Each day, I try to do a little bit.  If I accomplish even one small thing, that makes that day worth while.
The sun is bright today, after a grey yesterday full of rain.
Work.  Listen to Duncan Chisholm's CANAN Na GAIDHEAL, it's lovely melancholy fiddle  haunting me, putting memories of my mom--oh, what a worker she was!
Always busy, loving the out of doors, puttering about in the yard.
I miss her.  As I work, I miss her.  In this house, which feels too big without her, I think on her as I pass my day.
You went too early, mom.  I still had things to share with you, most of all, this day.
But I have my tomorrows to deal with, as do we all.  Each day, sun or rain, there are things to do. No time to worry, just bend to the task, accept the yoke of life, with its joys and sorrows, and keep going.
For now, I have mainly sorrow.  Still, even through that, there is room for laughter, and hope.
