They said it was an accident,
no need to place blame. 

Nothing they could do or say would bring her back.

They found her lifeless body lying next to the bed,
surrounded by a growing puddle of blood.
Her blonde ringlets now dyed a crimson red,
Her innocent eyes wide open.

She was already dead.

The Bailey's hid their gun so well,
it took their daughter four years to find it.
