Poem to the Deep

I look down into the blackness
gently gliding the waves to my destruction...
all is lost.

i feel I can hear those dark waves
pass my head and
the breath slowly comes until...
it is no more.

The void...
I see nothing and
the light [the truth]
it is not here.

I am a doomed soul in silence,
heading for the place that becomes me...
The place i have sent myself and
forever shall stay....

The deep has swallowed me up and
the pitch blackness is my friend.
