a girl recalls a past experience and wonders what the future holds
There we were, in that room
so close and so tied
it was cold and hostile, like a tomb
everyone on a different side

Yet, he was there, and I was there
and somehow it became so warm
when he so calmy dare
to put his arms around me in perfect form

Past had left us in short time
for not one regret remain
and the whole world seem mine
and nothing was ever the same

With gentle lips, he left his kiss
just above my right brow
there was not a message to miss
at least i believed until now

For absent of that occurance
as I have come to learn
it would take all of my endurance
to find a love i would earn

Emotions ran oh so high
and we both departed
I not sure if the falut was of my
for he seemed whole hearted

Time passed on without one word
we slipped eachother not a glance
gossip seemed to fly like a bird
neither of us willingly taking a chance

And now I just sit here
with his apparent apology in hand
yet i know he will never be truly near
has my anger run like sand?

I havent read the note
for fear of what it reads
because somehow i just know we cant coat
all our feelings and our needs

I'm sure I am breaking his heart
Making him guilt like this
but it might have been his smart
had he not ever shown me such gliss

How am I to know
what will happen in the end
i suppose it is forgiveness i should sow
and hope we all find a new bend

But one thing is for sure
one thing i'll never forget
people often do things in the spur
things that they later regret

I am ever so sorry it did happen
and I admit my heart aches
for that day my heart did deepen
in love for the happiness he makes
