A carrot-on-a-string situation
A dream made flesh,
But I can't feel how smooth;
A dream made a promise,
but I can't hear the voice;
A dream made a kiss,
but I can't taste the sweetness;
A dream made finest cologne,
but I can't smell the scent;
A dream made a masterpiece,
but I can't admire the art;
A dream made pure temptation,
but I can't experience the desire;
A dream held right behind me;
but I must wait an eternity for it to follow through;
Is all of this really then,
my every dream come true?
