And You Fight For What?

In this world what or who are you fighting for?

You take a chance even though you know the worst will happen yet you still poor

Everything you have into it hoping that you’ve been wrong all along and your still in it

You fight & you think you’ve got a chance and yet you find you just don’t fit

And no matter what you do or say
You face all obstacles in your way
Just so you can give it all that you’ve got and show that you are not the worst
You deserve the chance to take the place of being first
You try, and try, and try, and you never give up, no matter what some one will say
Just be you and be true to your self, keep your mind open and let nothing get in your way
And everything will be ok--Wrong answer! Ha I use to believe this with all my heart
Until things went wrong and things fell apart
Next thing you know everything’s blowing up in your face, you can’t get things to go right
No matter how good of a guy people shove it in your face…please someone shed some light!
Why do these things keep happening to all the good people and the ones that try and try
Yet they seem to be able to never get by
Now you wonder why people quit…
After going out of the way to please somebody and being their friend you get tired of their $#it
All they do is lead you on and lie and all you’ve ever done is be there and be something more
Yet they treat you like a dirty rug or just a frikin’ door
They stomp on you and walk through you like you don’t matter or you don’t care
Finally after a while you start to break down and wonder why did you even dare
To cross that boundary…all you did was try to fight
Fight for what you thought was right
But Ha, in the end it comes back to bite you…all you do is seem to get hurt
And all you seem to do is learn from these situations and get more alert
Of the things going on and then you just want to let things out
And after a while you just want to shout
Your emotions finally catch up with you for what you’ve been keeping down
You realize you just can’t take it anymore; you hate these people and this dam town
Ha…after you gone through stuff people wonder why you’ve quit and don’t fight
It’s because everything inside of you is now gone, every bit of ounce and might
It’s perished away with your feelings and heart
But one thing you know is next time you’ll be smart
To finish this up, my thoughts and feelings I hope you know
I’m not trying to be cold, heartless, or low
But there are some people you have to be careful for
They will take advantage and use you like a door
They will use you and lead you on
They’ll hurt you then eventually…all of what good you have to offer will be gone
