Some Police are Crooked

You have to love the Schenectady Police Department (SPD). They are just so honest and thoughtful and caring about the public. Don’t get me wrong, there are a lot of good Schenectady police officers, it’s just that there has been so much in the news lately. Actually what’s in the news is only part of what is going on. In the news you only hear part of the whole.

It shouldn’t be of any surprise what is going on either. The SPD likes to sell confiscated drugs, conveniently “lose” evidence, and charge crazy overtime when they aren’t working. I mean even their union President Lt. Robert Hamilton worked a mere ten days last year and still earned $80,000!!!! It could just be me, but that’s a tit bit ridiculous. It’s crazy talk. How do you seriously break down 218 days off for union business? “I watched TV for 49 days, masturbated on 58 days”, etc, etc.

In all honesty, I feel genuinely sorry for Schenectady Mayor Brian Stratton. I have friends and family who live there, I have no personal gripe with the place, hell I was born there, but I definitely would not want to have to rely on the Schenectady Police Dept for protection or anything else for that matter. You don’t know if you’re going to get a good cop or a jerk off responding. It really does suck for the good officers there that some assholes give them all a bad name.

Stratton said the city is in the process of negotiating a new contract with the Police Benevolent Association now and they’ll work to change the rules. They’ll work to change the rules? They need a lot more than to just work on it it needs to happen now.
