self reflection
Ripping the flesh off my fingers as I desperately claw at these hollow walls. Wondering how I came to be here I scream, but no sound utters from these thirsty lips. Dark memories flicker through my mind without knowing if they were imagined.
A cold grip squeezing my heart numb, engulfing me in my own fears. The tears have dried shackling my eyes exposed causing every twitch to feel like rusty hooks tearing across my face. I tell my legs to shift but they feel motionless. My hands tremble as I reach down to touch them but find only chunks of flesh clinging to broken bones, rendering my deliverance unattainable. Dark, cold ,alone and gasping for breath, I embrace my reality.
My ebbing strength won't linger too much longer. This darkness threatens my vigor. My home. My reality. My tomb. Is this to be my end? Or must we all first break to find ourselves. Comforted by the illusions of your presence temporarily releases me from this prison within myself.
