A brief but passionate rendezvous at the beach.
She taps lightly on the door, knowing without knowing that I'm waiting for her. I am, and have been for quite a while now. Lying in the warm bed I watch her come through the unlocked door. Her bare feet pad quietly across the carpet as she comes to my bed. I reach for her, and we find each other easily in the darkness.
She couldn’t stay with me, but I knew she would come to me in this early morning hour.
My hands gently slide up her throat, pulling her down to me as her tousled hair frames her sleepy face. Her warm lips meet mine with a tender urgency and a quiet gasp. She slides into the bed next to me, molding to my body as she settles at my side. There is no better place in the world than next to this beautiful woman.
She snuggles tightly against me as my fingertips begin gently stroking her. Her smile, quiet murmurs, and gentle movement against me let me know I am pleasing her. The thin tee shirt hides nothing from my probing fingers. She is natural beneath her shirt and pajama bottoms, and she warms to me quickly. Her honey-blond hair is messy, and she wears no makeup. I love her all the more for her knowing I will welcome her exactly as she is.
Without a word we lay together, listening to each other's breathing, pushing ever tighter against each other. Her bare feet are cold against my legs, the curved arches sliding slowly up and down, as she knows I like.  I welcome their touch, as I know she is drawing comfort from the heat she receives from me. Her slender fingers tease the hair on my chest, her mouth now snug against the hollow of my throat.
We would hardly be closer if I were in her, we are so intimate at times like this.
Eventually the sun begins to lighten the horizon. I nudge her gently. She knows this is the main reason I come to the beach. Sharing the sunrise over the water with my lover sweetens this beyond anything I could have imagined.
I slide out of bed, pulling the covers off her. She giggles, and wraps her arms around herself to shield against the cool ocean air now streaming in from the sliding door. I love the little girl in her too. I pull the comforter and blankets off the other bed, then take it all onto the balcony. I spread one of the doubled over comforters onto a lounge chair, then pour two glasses of the sweet Riesling she likes from the bottle that I’d put here earlier. She steps out, shivering, as I stretch out on the chair. Quickly she stretches out next to me as I pull the remaining covers over us, shutting out the cold.
There is nothing but us, the waves, the wine, and the rising sun. For us at this moment, it is a perfect world.
We look out towards the quietly churning sea, her back to me, my head on one propped arm. My other arm is wrapped around her, pulling her tightly to my body, spooning her warmth. My nuzzling against the back of her neck brings her still closer to me. She is smiling, that sweet, sexy smile that tells me she feels safe here, content, happy. Loved. I see her gaze shift towards the wine, and reach for it myself, putting it to her lips. She sips, and I watch her lips move against the chilled glass.
For the next hour or so we explore, sip, kiss softly, and watch the sun come up as the waves crash quietly onto the beach below. I can’t keep my eyes off of her, she is so lovely in the distant glow of the rising sun. We are warm and comfortable beneath the covers, and the wine has relaxed us further.
Finally the sun is too bright for us. She turns to look at me, and in silent agreement we move back into my room, to the complete intimacy we both crave.
