Through Pain, You Care

I don't understand this...
      Your actions,
        Your heart,
            Your love,

It frightens me that you still care,
      After this coldness I show toward you,
        After this hatred I give to you,
            After this pain I inflict on you,

I don't understand you,

I still don't understand,

But I will never understand,

Maybe I do understand,
      That through pain,

But whether or not I'll ever have the strength,

      And that's all I need to understand
