Feeling invisible
Feeling invisible,
I take a deep breath,
Puff out my chest
And ego.

Wanting to be heard,
I am louder.
Wanting to be felt,
I am cold,
Using piercing words,
Stony silence.
Wanting understanding
I illiterate
With wildly wandering
Words of wisdom.

For those moments
I am there
Respecting myself,
Or at least-
The effort

Until slowly,
The power of my ego escapes.
I become a leaking,
Slowly softening tire.
Crumpling steel wall resolve,
Deflated of breath
Finds me,
Soft,
Useless,
Flat.
